When we had a lab a long time ago, we fed her on Pal or Pedigree Chum....things seem to have changed!

A friend buys 15kg bags of Wainwright dog food from Pets at Home for 41.99. Is this good stuff? Reasonable value? How long will a bag last? By the way the lab looks great and is in v good health.

We have a lovely lab who is now 10 years old (or 9, I can't remember tonight!) and have fed her on Burns chicken and rice for years - she is in very good health. Was always a bit prone to a sensitive tummy but Burns has been great for her. I think it is about £47 for a big bag - have no idea how long it lasts - perhaps six weeks.

We don't feed anything else at all - the odd piece of roast chicken etc., it is actually very reasonable cost wise.

We use Royal Canin Labrador Retreiver kibble.

It is eaten with relish!

www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/ gives lots of info on food.

We feed our lab millies wolfheart which is an excellent food with good quality uk sourced proteins, grain free etc. lots of info to read on their website.

Raw feeding is excellent and if you have the freezer space to bulk buy works out cheaper than commercial dog food.
