Help - new puppy poos and poos

Hi we have a lovely border collie puppy. She is now 10.5 weeks and we have had her for 2 weeks. She is doing really well but we are up 2 or 3 times per night as she needs to poo - sometimes we get to her in time, other times not. We are feeding her autarky puppy dry food at 6am, 2pm and 6pm. I was leaving small treats in her crate at night but have stopped this but still the same!! Her last toilet before we got to bed is 10.30pm and then we up 6am. She wakes 2am and then 4am. Vet says not to worry. Just looking to find out if this is normal and when will i get a decent nights sleep

It wasn't what Eric did but I suspect Eric was exceptionally easy at night in so far as from the first night he slept 11pm til 6am. He's also got a bowel and bladder of steel so only goes on his walks so last walk around 11pm and first walk 10.30am and never pees or poops in between.

I am hoping it is just because she is still a baby!!

We got our collie when he was 11-12 weeks and he wanted a poo at 2am every night and was up at 5am I think. It didn't last long, maybe 2-3 weeks.

Ours is over fifteen weeks now and poos less.

We have burns dried puppy food with a small amount of mashed in james wellbeloved puppy wet food from a satchel and his poos are firm, dark and very easy or pick up.

Go easy on the treats as they often give the runs.

Ours is fine with dried cat food as training treats and er pigs ears as a very special treat!

Mine also has the fun of licking my bowl clean after I've had plain yoghurt! It's a morning treat he has and there is barely any there but as Long as he doesn't beg and he is playing happily on his own, he gets given my bowl!

Mine can't have dried food or things get very runny. My older dog has issues about dried food too, so they both just have wet food atm with fresh beef bones to gnaw on for their teeth. For training, I use hotdog (with no wheat/gluten) or chorizo - though puppy prefers the hotdog

I use Natural Instinct complete raw food for my Border Collie, he has never needed a poo (or a wee) in the night since we got him at eight weeks old, his poos are generally very small and even when very young he never did more than three a day.

You could try moving the last feed to 4pm.

We moved our puppy to raw and his poos dried up immediately.

Our pup had to be taken out for a night poo for the first few weeks so I feel your pain! It's much like it is with a baby, you'll find over the next few weeks the toilet trips are dropping off and you once again get the bliss of a full nights sleep!
