A status has popped up on my page from someone selling mongrel puppies. Dad is chihuahua x pug and mum is terrier x lhasa. I asked why he had bred such a mix of mongrels and got laughed at. Now it says he can't afford to inoculate all the puppies so he'll sell them for the low price of £200.

I stated BYB and left it at that. Clearly only breeding for profit. No point whatsoever in furthering a line of four different dogs.

It boils my blood. So many unwanted dogs up and down the country and you get people like him selling dogs like this. Clearly never bothered to neuter or spay his own mongrels.

Ffs. I'm sure I won't get any response, not sure what else he could do with the puppies now but felt compelled to say something. If only to try and educate someone else.

Idiots.

Why breed from a Collie if you think the lines are no good? No exact going to increase your chances of breeding an agility champion if one half of the parentage doesn't perform!

PeanutPatty · 12/08/2014 13:33

It's odd that she thinks that about Collies because Collies dominate agility and with the correct training and partnership seem to sweep the boards at agility........ Wink

In pisses me off.

A woman on my feed posted saying 'when should I breed my dog I heard you have to let them have one litter so gunna do it'

DO YOUR RESEARCH FOR FUCKS SAKE.

Oh god I know. Makes you want to weep doesn't it?

She did answer my link to the dogs trust. She said she already had a waiting list for her pups whatever they were and she was trying to breed out a risk of epilepsy. One or two people responded along the lines of well my rescue dog is gorgeous, there was nothing wrong with her when she was dumped in the dogs home at nine weeks, etc. Then the woman deleted her post. It did rather make her out to be a twat so I'm not surprised.

I was at a pub the once and some woman said she had just got this puppy and she was trying to sell the pup and trying to pass it off to anyone who stroked the dog. Always wonder what happened to her(the puppy).

A colleague of mine has allowed her barely one year old cocker x staffie pup ( yes, really ) to get pregnant by her GSD. I can't honestly bear to be in the same room as her at the moment, her stupidity knows no bounds :(

I am also not exactly looking forward to meeting any of the caucasian shepherd pups being sold locally on gumtree, from the "first ever litter " -proudly sold by a guy who used to breed Akitas but thought a pair of these would be a good investment - £2000 a pup. He even managed to get an article in the local paper, where he talks about his dogs and how he doesn't walk or train them, just lets them wander around his two acre property getting more territorial and bored by the minute. If you don't know what a caucasian shepherd is please google and then imagine the kind of person who would buy that type of dog on gumtree. In Belfast.
