OK so where do you put your dog walking stuff when you have no pockets?

I have just walked WalterDog with his bag of treats, 2 poo bags, phone and door key and dropped each item at least twice (or had them fall out of my woefully small shorts pockets)!

Winter, rain, no problem as coats with tons of pockets, but shorts and t-shirt - it aint working! Come and tell me what you do with your stuff?

Going off topic a bit but look at these bling clicker bracelets - I am not commenting on whether I like them or not Blush

i've a couple of bumbags....left over from the children

also have some of those plastic bone clip doo dahs for poobags, they should be on each lead but somehow they keep going missing.

best one I have is supposed to be a Pegbag the carabiner clip is easy to clip to jeans or button holes, or even the dog harness....plent of room also for keys, poo bags, antibac gel justincasepacket of tissues keys and phone

it's also big enough to carry the double bagged poo if you are going round a walk and not there and back. I do take my phone out and tuck it in my bra though if i have to do that.

Oh no, now feel like I have outed myself as the non stylish bum bag wearer SadGrin was going to say I am all practicality when it comes to doggy things, but then reminded myself that my dogs have velvet leads and tassels (but only for best Wink).

The postman has kindly delivered my new bum bag while I was out, I will have an explore and see how much it will hold, not that anyone else would dream of being seen dead in one WinkGrin

WalterWhiteMakesBlue · 11/06/2014 17:59

oooh some good suggestions! I thought I wasn't keen on bumbag, but just spotted some more glam ones on asos. I quite like the idea of a cross body bag so will research those.

I'm totally up for a 'style and beauty' thread in dog walking. It is usually the part of the day I feel most shabby, so would love to get some tips!

I did once try tucking empty poo bags under my bra-strap and just was fidgeting about to get them out (they had slipped down a bit), an old man walked around the corner Blush.

I agree re footwear on muddy, hot days lepitit - I personally wear either wellies (festival style), or some old flat ankle boots I have, or I have some unattractive trainer/walking boots. Occasionally I have work fitflops that can be washed.

Couldn't possibly comment on those blingy clicker bracelets!

I have these clickers because I love the way the teardrop shape fits perfectly into the palm of my hand - and attach them to something like - this, but smaller. I always seem to get the elasticated ones all tangled or somehow manage to lose the clicker off the end. Hmm

moosemama · 11/06/2014 18:02

Gobblers I have had many bumbags over the years - they are eminently practical. It's just that I am now of an age where I resemble one of the hoards of geriatric ramblers we get around these parts every weekend if I wear one these days. Blush

Shall I start a new S&B thread then or shall we just carry on here?

SpicyPear · 11/06/2014 19:43

Ooh see you over there.

littlewhitebag · 12/06/2014 09:32

Small cross body bag here too. It has room for everything i need. I hate carrying stuff in my jeans pockets.

littlewhitebag · 12/06/2014 09:34

Mine is this make and style but a different colour/pattern.

Pandora452 · 12/06/2014 11:37

I bought two dicky bags - one for poo and one for keys/phone :D

mistlethrush · 12/06/2014 12:47

I have a lovely, smallish leather bag that has a long enough strap to be cross body (just) or a belt loop to go on a belt which is ideal as its small enough not to swing out and bump the dog when you bend down to put the lead on, but just big enough for purse, keys, phone and bags.
