I first noticed it a few weeks ago when I was grooming her plus she had been getting some unwanted attention from boy dogs so took her it the vets where they prescribed a weeks antibiotics for a water infection.

Grooming her today the hair around her bits still has a red tinge and boy dogs have continued to be interested in her, I've called into the vets and I have to give them a water sample tomorrow (god knows how)

Anyone else had experience of this?

Is it not a season...?

Lonecatwithkitten · 10/06/2014 07:43

Has she been spayed? When did she last have a season if not spayed?

Notonaschoolnight · 10/06/2014 07:55

Sorry forgot to say spayed a year ago at 6 months old

Sometimes the vets can miss bits of tissue during a spay that causes the usual hormones that crop up during season that cause the pheromones/ bleeding etc to appear. Its called Ovarian Remnant Syndrome and you can read more here:

I shall have a look at the link thank you I'm stressed to death right now as she's not stupid and wouldn't have a wee in the garden while I followed her around with Tupperware behind my back. She's on raw too so doesn't wee that much anyway, I tried to get a sample while on a walk last time but it was impossible plus I don't want to try and catch her wee out in public, surely there's a way around it
