Neuter two dogs at once or seperately?

I have two male dogs (1yo and 8 months). On a practical point of view, would it be better to do both at once or seperately?

Our vet recommended doing our two at the same time, simply because they would then recuperate together, and we wouldn't have one bouncy lively dog jumping around wanting to play with one who really wasn't feeling like it....and possibly messing about with their stitches too.
It's more of a financial hit obviously, paying for two ops at once, rather than spreading it out - but I do think its's good idea.

How long on average is the recuperation?

My dog took about a day to want to get back to normal, we had to keep him to lead walks until he had his stitches out which was at 10 days, he was 8 months old when we had him neutered.
The vet did say he'd recovered amazingly quickly, was just slightly more sleepy on the day of the op.

Recent thinking is to allow a dog to fully mature both physically and mentally before neutering. The age maturity is reached depends on the size of the breed.

Mine were v woozy for the rest of the day when we got them home...and a bit quieter than normal for a day or two after that. Then they seemed fine, and both dealt with "the cone of shame" with no problems!
