Arrgh!!! Fleas!!!!! Effective house spray please.

Ok, this is probably old news and boring, BUT.
We have 2 outdoor/indoor cats, and 2 Weimaraners.
We have had flea problems before (our little cul de sac is a cat haven, but with lots of elderly residents who are not up to date with vaccination and flea treatments).
Before, we dealt with it by treating the cats with Frontline, and flea combing the dogs, as they have allergies.
That and hot washing bedding, tumble drying, and steam treating bedding and floors and carpets kept it under control.
Not this year.
We are at peak flea, IN BLOODY MAY FGS!!!!
Have treated dogs and cats, and have cleaned within an inch of our lives.
It's not working.
We need to spray treat the floors and bedding.
Can anyone tell me which is the most effective spray treatment for houses?
I have access to a vet suppliers.

The frontline will only kill the adult fleas, not inhibit the larvae from developing. You need to stop the lifecycle. The house spray will help, but the animals need treating with something like Advocate - which is active against the larval stages, and if you have adult fleas, you will have eggs all around the house waiting to hatch.

Probably best to treat them for tapeworm as well, as their lifecycle starts in the flea and continues in the dog/cat when the fleas are ingested through grooming etc.

It is prescription only. So your pets need to be seen by the vet in order to either obtain the product from them, or to give you a prescription to buy it online. Also you will have to wait about two weeks from when you last treated with Frontline before you use it.

You need a Bob Martin Flea Fogger - it's an aerosol you leave in the room for a few hours and then open all the windows. You need one per room. I tried loads of different sprays in the past and none worked, but this is a genius product.

Our vet practice sells Indorex for only £2 more than you can buy it online and their prescription flea spot-ons will actually work, inhibiting the growth of eggs and larvae as well as adult fleas, unlike over the counter Frontline. Flea and worm clinics with the nurses are free. Vets aren't looking to rip you off!

Indorex, RIP Flea, Johnsons 4Fleas or Acclaim for the house and Stronghold, Advocate or Frontline Combo for all animals will sort it within hours. Bob Martin, OTC Frontline, other fipronil based products etc. are a waste of money.

For treating the cats I would now use Broadline a spot on the kills adult fleas and ticks, prevents flea larvae from developing, kills round and tapeworm in a single spot on.
