Best commercial dog food?

What are the good brands of commercial dog food? Wet and dry. Ones that don't have nasty animal derivatives in it. I know that I'll be urged to feed raw meet ripped fresh from the nearest stray bunny, but I just would like to know what's good that comes in a packet, from a shop (or vet).

Hi, I won't persuade you to try raw, but you can get minced raw foods from reputable companies such as Natural Instinct, so there's no need to rip apart a bunny...

We use Millie's Wolfheart for kibble, which is high quality and grain free, order online for next day delivery. People will tend to recommend what they feed their dog tbh, but that might not be right for YOUR dog.

I'm a big fan of James Wellbeloved, but we've also used Royal Canin in the past.

Simpsons Premium 80/20 mix. No grains for allergic Staffy.

Almost as good as Orijin but nowhere near as expensive.

British company too that try to source all of their ingredients in the UK or EU. Here.

My house is far too small to get another freezer in to raw feed 2 dogs.

I am switching from Royal Canin (not as good quality as you'd think for the price) to Simpsons premium. It gets good reviews so I'm going to see how puppy likes that.

Currently feeding ours James Wellbeloved, which she was on at the rescue she came from. We have tried others, mainly because she went off the JB stuff. She ate them all, put on weight on Iams very quickly, the cheaper ones made for rather squishy poops (not good for clearing up!), so have gone back to JB, but bought different flavours to mix it up a bit! Interestingly Waitrose own brand seemed good - she enjoyed it, poops were firm and not unduly stinky, just pain to buy as we don't shop regularly at Waitrose.

I'm currently using Burns chicken & rice,it's not cheap but you can get a VAT free working dog mix,which saves a bit.

I feed a mixture of ziwipeak, orijen regional red and naturediet.

we used to feed nature diet but changed to nature's harvest after quality issues (the packaging rather than the food - lots of blown packs).

our staffie has colitis and it is really well controlled, part of this is down to his diet.

We found that of tins readily available in supermarkets (kibble doesn't suit our old boy), Chappie and Butchers Tripe plain original are best. I've heard them mentioned by others on here too - they're not the complete crap that some makes are.
