And she needs a name Grin

She is 8 weeks, fawn, smooth coated and lushious.

I am, however, quite possibly insane.

Love coco.
Was thinking Brie maybe?

DH wants Truffle-Snuffle-Shuffle Hmm

Grin at your dh's name choice!

My dh wanted Sparrow for our pup because he was so frail and tiny. Good job I don't listen to him as six months on he's anything but frail or tiny.

I was daft enough to bow to family pressure and give into the name Pip though - which is also a little daft for a dog of his size. I blame Auntie Mabel, because I vetoed Pippin, so they pushed for the shortened version. Hmm

mistlethrush · 23/01/2014 19:11

We have a chinchilla called Truffle. (she's champagne truffle coloured and sits in a ball most of the time) It was quite a normal name after the first one which was called Quetz

LadyTurmoil · 23/01/2014 22:49

I love the Toffee Barley Fudge Victoria from mistle, also Willow. What about Paloma, Faith, Gracie, Betty or Velvet. She looks gorgeous!

WhatHo · 23/01/2014 22:58

I think whippets look like ballet dancers, particularly when they play and do those mad mid-air twirls. So I would like to suggest Margot (fonteyn) Darcey (Bussell), Maya (Plisetskaya) and Sylvie (Guillem)

mistlethrush · 23/01/2014 22:59

I like Darcey - although perhaps she's a bit too tall and muscular for a whippet?

jellybrain · 23/01/2014 23:05

It's not fair I can't see the pictures. Something to do with my phone but, lucky you. I love whippets they have such pretty eyes and are so graceful. Like Willow as a name or one of the ballerina suggestions.

Fishandjam · 23/01/2014 23:11

Toast?

The last whippet/Italian greyhound I met had the warmest tummy ever. His owners said it was a proper pain in the summer when he wanted to lie on them...

monkeyfacegrace · 24/01/2014 07:06

Love Willow. But that was going to be our babies name had she made it to term, so Im scared to use it Sad

And Gracie, love love love, but check my username for the obvious reason why not!

Ive had hamsters called Toffee and Fudge.

Dh is adamant he doesnt want a 'human' name.

Gah. So hard!

AtYourCervix · 24/01/2014 08:40

Or Binky.

Does she smell nice?

FuckyNell · 24/01/2014 08:40

She's lovely! Don't you have pugs too? I may or may not have you muddled up with another poster Blush

frostyfingers · 24/01/2014 08:48

Crumble - I know several fawn/pale brownish dogs with that name and I love it....

kitsmummy · 24/01/2014 09:35

Hi Grace, I'm glad you found one Smile

Greenkit · 24/01/2014 11:53

We have two whippets

Lad is called Scrumpy Jack and female is called Poppy, our last girl was called Tilly and looked a lot like you whippet xx

monkeyfacegrace · 24/01/2014 14:21

Jellybrain dont be silly, you have dinky feet Wink

She is home! She is asleep on my lap.

Yes Im Pug lady. But lost two before Xmas, so am down to one very old grumpy boy, who isnt best pleased with puppy, but will be fine in time.

Awww, Honey-Wriggle is my baby. I honestly feel proud, like Ive just given birth
Not sure if the name will stick. Like Crumble lots.
Decisions, decisions...

Whippet puppy, whippet puppy, whippet puppy. SQUEEEEEEEE.

Sorry.

That may be the best decision you have ever made, whippets are just awesome, sweet and gentle and FAST.

Crumble is a lovely name, how about Biscuit (I know a couple of whippies called this) just remember you are going to have to shout this name a lot when she legs it away from you at 30 miles per hour because squirrel squirrel squirrel has removed any other thought from her pretty head

FuckyNell · 24/01/2014 14:32

Oh what happened to them Sad

SpanielFace · 24/01/2014 14:38

My friend has a female whippet called Farah, after Mo, because of the speed that she runs! Congratulations, I love whippets, very jealous of your puppy cuddles.

monkeyfacegrace · 24/01/2014 14:39

One was 14 and got PTS due to dementia and liver problems.

The other had sseperation anxiety, so when my DH got diagnosed with cancer and when I lost the baby, it was too much to handle, so the breeder tempererily (sp)! took her back. Now she has become ultra attached and wouldnt let me have her back Sad

But, DH now has the all clear, Im back to health, we have been told we cannot try for anothet baby for at least a year, and were both lost without a dog (the geriatric pug doesnt count, he doesnt move!).

So Mrs Whippy came home.

Have started a thread in chat with more piccys. Can anyone link it here?

FuckyNell · 24/01/2014 15:12

here you go

Oh sorry about all that grace sounds very stressful!

The new pup will chase some clouds away I'm sure Smile

monkeyfacegrace · 24/01/2014 15:19

She already is making me smile again.

And, Ive had her since 10.30am. Not a single accident in the house- she waits by the patio door and performs outside, even though she has had no previous training. Bingo!
