Inflatable collar v cone of shame?

Anyone with a lab or similar tried them? I am trying to stop him licking a small scrape (got while bounding through a hedge!) on his front leg. If it does not dry it will never heal up. Vet said a buster collar was the only solution but I dread the crashing around and barking that will ensue.

Worth a try but depending on where the wound is they aren't always 100% effective. The soft fabric collars are pretty good.

They puncture the inflatable collar, it deflates and you end up buying a cone. I won't stock them for this reason - too many complaints.

Always used inflatables myself, never had an issue but I guess it depends on the dog.

Ddog is getting neutered in January, was thinking of getting this in advance - comfy cone

Has anyone tried this instead of the plastic one? Was hoping this would be better in his crate at night and let him sleep easier.

Muzzle? Although would need watching that it's not used as a 'tool' as such.

Do you have any boys long johns? Sounds silly but I used them on pimmsdog. Put legs in legs the stick head through the front flap with waist around neck. Works the other way round with tail out flap for after castration too.
Have also had good results with itch sticks, he will eat anything but won't go anywhere near licking it

I used a stuffed sock for one of our dogs. It worked perfectly well, although there were times when only a cone would do.
