Advocate and prescription charge

How much does your vet charge to write out a prescription form?

I have been using Advocate flea treatment on my dogs.
My vet charges almost twice the online price.
I can get 6 pipettes (4 to 10kg dogs) for £22 whereas he’ll charge £44.
The prescription form charge is £10 so I would save £12 by going online.

So just wondering how much a standard prescription form costs and does anyone know of a cheaper cost for Advocate than what I have found?

My vet charges £12 for a prescription but I don't know how many sets of advocate you can buy with the one prescription? Some vets charge alot more than others so ask yours.

6 month's worth on one prescription.
If you have several dogs then it all adds up buying it elsewhere.

Most vets produce their own prescriptions so you do not need to download a form. We always produce our own prescription as this then ebeds in the clinical record. We charge £12.00 for a single item prescription and if the pet is seen would give prescription for 12 months of flea treatment, but you would need to buy it all in the first 6 months as we can not make prescriptions valid for longer than that.
