My female lab (5 and a half) has recently started this whole whimpering thing on an almost constant basis. She has done it in the past eg. at feeding or walking or other exciting time, a bit of an excited whimper has always been quite normal. She now seems to do it almost constantly and it is driving us all crazy!
She is also reluctant to go in her bed which is very unusual. Same bed in same spot it has been for last five years but often i am finding her wedged against the opposite wall behind the door which again is very new.
She is a healthy happy dog, other than infrequent and mild epileptic fits which we are aware of and have been monitoring and managing for a couple of years. She is not on medication.
Any ideas what might have triggered these recent seemingly nervous type of activities? I am talking only the past few weeks.
