Clicker training

I want to clicker train pimmspup. Only thing is pimmsdog loves his clicker and how do I not have to treat him every time I click it for pimmspup.
Pimmspup is a sprollie and is picking things up quickly but I know it would be a lot quicker with a clicker
Any ideas, other than doing it when pimmsdog is out as in this heat he is only out at 6am and 9pm and pimmspup is sleeping then

You must ALWAYS Treat if you have clicked. However once a behaviour is learnt you do not have to click each time.

I think she means the older dog will think she is clicking for him. Best to clicker train separately at first and then address them by name so they know which one is being asked to do something.

Yes I meant when I click for pup how do I stop dog from thinking its for him. I tried separate rooms but dog can hear a click from a mile away even when sleeping (that's the lab in him) and wants a treat.
Oh well guess I should be glad I trained him so well

I practice out in the garden (we are a multi hound household as well). But I have to steel myself to ignore the row of little pointy faces lined up at the door to the garden looking wistfully on while their sibling whoops it up with tricks and sausages.

I'm sure kikopup has done a video showing how you can train one dog and have others waiting patiently. I can't find it at the moment as I'm at work, but if you have a look for kikopup on youtube you should be able to find it.

You can train them in different locations but it is also a time to teach calm and stay with the watching dog.

Pop them on a "viewing point" and train the first dog, At intervals turn to watching dog and click and reward for calm still watching behaviour - they lurrrrrve doing this

Thanks for all the tips. We just had a go older 3 DCs took pimmsdog out in garden practising wait,stay etc whilst I had pimmspup in kitchen doing sit and down. Pup learns quickly so shouldn't be too long before I can get dog to wait/stay and have pup in same location but at moment pup is in love with dog and as soon as he lays down pup runs off to jump on him and play. Glad DCs are on summer holidays and already bored after 2 days so willing to help
