What is your dog's favourite toy?

It's Jasper's birthday next week (don't judge me) and I want to get him something interesting, and fairly indestructible. He loves soft things, so he can murder them, and has a few stuffing free toys (now missing limbs). Anything a bit different you can recommend? We have the usual balls, rubber chews, treat balls etc.

Squeaky sausage dog which I got from Sainsbury's last week. Its a soft dog, over a foot long - so as long as the actual dog. He drags it round the house and wrestles it.

FentonDog's favourite toy is 'Chicken'

He likes to hold it in his mouth a fling it about.

sorry Blush

Apart from anything belonging to the children that he knows fine well are not his, balls of any variety but especially tennis balls. He will ignore food for tennis balls.

Mine love balls, soft toys, and ropes. All if which they will happily rip to pieces if left alone with them for more than a few minutes.

Biggest dog likes anything he can de stuff, or his ragger with a solid rubber end its fairly indestructible but it bloody hurts when it hits you!

Medium dog loves his balls, he is very keen on the planet dog balls £££ but they last years and years and he likes to hold them and chew them lots! They are mint scented and he loves them when new but still plaays withthe ones we got for him 5 years ago. The old balls look dirty but in pretty good nick, they also float so great for taking out with you.

Small dog loves cuddly things, her two favourites are a bear that she stole from the children and sally stoat! sally stoat has lasted over a year now and only has a small hole in her! just big enough for her to destuff.

Happy birthday Jasper for next week Grin.

Big beast loves his kong, and will do literally anything for a tennis ball. When he was younger he found a stuffed monkey in the park and was inseperable from it for months, he ended up carrying round a scrap of torn fur that was all that was left of it, till we managed to distract him and bin it. He still looks sad if you mention "monkey"

tabulahrasa · 26/06/2013 13:45

That.

It has crackly bottle stuff in it's head and a squeaky tail, has enough weight to throw a bit and is light enough for him to run round shaking it and as a bonus looks ridiculous with it hanging out of his mouth. Grin

I got it in pets at home, but they don't seem to have them online.

Closely followed by this, which is mostly used for whacking people in the face with when they lie on the couch Hmm

Kong Wobbler: www.kongcompany.com/products/for-dogs/interactive/wobbler-2/wobbler/

Kong Genius Leo: www.kongcompany.com/products/for-dogs/interactive/genius/genius-leo/

And for when out training, balls that are on ropes like this one: www.fordogtrainers.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=88&products_id=4625

She'll bring one of those balls when she wants to go out to play. She'll carry them to the park and home again.

She can spend a long time getting treats out of the two Kong toys. We
got the Genius Leo after having seen my parents' dog playing with hers - she loves it! My parents have to hide it when she can't play with it, because she'll just sit and stare at it if it's placed on a shelf.
My parents' dog will throw it around (which is fine as it's just soft rubber), while my dog is a bit more careful and will just roll it around until treats fall out.

He loves his Kong filled with peanut butter. I made him a peanut butter cake...

HoneyDragon · 26/06/2013 14:15

The rope that hangs of the children's climbing frame. She murders and savages it on a daily basis. It is even more fun if there is a small child hanging on at the top giggling hysterically as they are swung back and forth by a bat shit crazy Labrador.

My suggestion is you spend £400 on a play frame. Grin

Floraldog had a new bubble machine for his birthday ,bubble mix and gravybones for his birthday . He loves unwrapping presents .

tabulahrasa · 26/06/2013 15:11

Well if we're including things like climbing frames...[http://www.petsathome.com/shop/kitty-corner-activity-centre-55251 this]] no longer has any of the branches or balls, one leg is missing rope and the platform halfway up has giant gnaw marks round the outside, or a cat, mine luffs his cat. He follows her round trying to lick her and rest his head on her (she's smaller than his head).
