Jas has a mouth full of blood

They were playing as they do, all creaky door noises and open mouths, when there was a yelp. Dh assumed the pup, but I noticed Jas licking his nose and blood dripping from his tongue. On closer inspection, he has a small puncture/tear near the middle about half way back. It's still bleeding. Anything I can do?

Apply direct pressure, using a tissue may help.

With small paw wounds, I've been told (by various internet people, not actual vets) to put flour on to help the clotting. Not sure if that would work with wounds in mouths...

Thanks. It stopped bleeding after a few minutes, and he's eating and drinking ok so I'll just keep an eye on it. There isn't much to see this morning, although he isn't being very cooperative in letting me look.

For another time, sugar helps stop mouth bleeding quite quickly.
