Hi I'll try to keep this brief
I have a 2 year old springer/lurcher bitch, she's gorgeous. I am three weeks out of hospital following a prolonged stay after my ds2 was Born at 24 weeks and I needed a emergency hysterectomy. I have ds1 who's 5 and dd 15, I am at the moment partially paralysed so my brother and my dd have been walking dog. She is inseparable from ds1 since they met and adores ds2 I cannot fault her behaviour.
Since we have been home she has been happy to go into the garden to play, she has constant access to our large 1 acre secure garden but when being taken for a walk she runs and hides from the lead, then according to dd etc cries to come home, doesn't want to walk. She is used to 4 miles a day plus garden access but hasn't had a proper walk in a week as she just becomes distressed after a short while so they bring her home where she's fine. She's eating fine, sleeping, playing etc all fine.
So I'm just wondering do I 'insist' she walks and persevere or do I let her stay close for now?
Any thoughts much appreciated
