Dog obsessed with me sneezing

Last night dog was asleep on the floor on DHs side of the bed. I sneezed. Heard dog coming round to my side of the bed and opened my eyes. He was so close he was almost touching my nose with a happy look on his face!

Anyone else's dog like this? If I am in a different room to him and I sneeze he comes running again with an expectant look on his face!

If I could sneeze on demand recall wouldn't be an issue!

Maybe he thinks you're barking? Maybe he thinks "FINALLY! She's speaking MY language."

Could be! It's the look on his face as well when I do it, it's like he's all happy expecting something! Maybe it translates as promising him food!

Once it gets late and I'm in bed and he's not in the room I try and stifle my sneeze as its a bit disconcerting to open my eyes and see a dog nose coming my way!

Thats funny one of my dog does this. I have loads of dogs but only one does the sneeze trick. Whenever I sneeze he will come runny over to me. No one else in the family just me. The DC's thinks he is checking I am still alive because I am so old(!) .

He can be fast asleep in his bed in another room but still will wake up and check on me if I sneeze.

Our dog does the same, except she comes running and then jumps on you, she also comes running when our other dog has the sneezes too.

I'm ABSOLUTLY convinced DDog checked to see I was still alive once! I'm pregnant and was feeling tired one day and decided to have a lie down on the couch. Anyway I nodded off only to be woken (about 2 hours later) by DDog licking my nose! I asked him what he wanted (because that's normal right?!) and he just wandered off to his bed.

I STILL think that as I don't usually fall asleep on the couch for so long he was checking to see I was ok.

My dog is immune to sneezing seeing as I came down with 'flu the day after I picked her up and was poorly for the next three weeks. We really bonded over those early morning wee sessions (her not me) in the cold wet garden with a 40 degree temperature (me not her). When I sneeze now, she doesn't blink.

When I have asthma or panic attacks my otherwise extremely basket loving dog comes and sits right in front of me gazing up at me encouragingly. If he could talk he'd say "you're fine Machli". I just know it. He knows something is up and he stays there till I start feeling better then he goes back to bed.

My dog runs away when I sneeze. It's apparently very insulting.

I resort to using fake sneezes when Cakedog is suffering from temporary deafness in a recall situation.

Sneezing is the only thing guaranteed to get him back to me.

I have yet to meet another dog owner doing ridiculous fake, loud sneezes in public.

I can kinda sneeze on que if its sunny, I just have to look at the sun a certain way. Maybe we should start carrying pepper pots around with us!

Ours both give a concerned look when anyone sneezes.

My mum was once stood up having a coughing fit and one of our dogs did the concerned look before jumping up on her back - it was as though he was slapping her on the back! He doesn't usually jump up either so it was quite comical.

Idirdog, my dog also barks when I, and only I, sneeze. I can be upstairs and he downstairs, but if I sneeze then he barks. Other members of the family can sneeze loudly but he ignores them. He only worries about me.

My childhood dog would always go to the door to be let out if someone sneezed. He would always pee, then come back in. Sneeze=pee! Every time
