Rehoming advice please

I really need some advice about rehoming. I am an emotional mess about this so please be gentle Sad.
DS (1.5) is allergic to dog. This was confirmed 6 months ago by testing. We have two Mini Schnauzers at home. As we didnt have any problems at that time our Consultant advised to just continue as normal and hope for the best.
That was fine until this month, DS has been in A&E twice for breathing difficulties, is on inhaler 4 times a day and is now breaking out in hives when he has doggy contact. It would appear that the dogs are aggravating his chest problems.
My lovely dogs need a new home. I really need advice as to the best way to find them a new forever home. I don't want to advertise to strangers or want money for them. All I need is an assurance that they will be well looked after. We have no relations that can take them. I have asked various family members and friends to see if they know anyone who would be like them.

What is the best way to go about this? How can I make it easy on them? Is it too much to expect to keep them together? To me they are great, lovely temperments, gentle with DS, very lovable, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, house trained, well socialised and mostly obedient. One is 3 the other 5. Is it even going to be possible to get them homes?

The kennel club has breed specific rescues listed, I'd contact them. They'll be able to do home checks and find them a suitable home.

I'd think they'd probably be fairly easy for them to rehome, fairly young healthy happy dogs that are good with children should be anyway as some of them say they operate a waiting list of people waiting for dogs to come up.

How horrible for you, but if its definitely the dogs your DS is allergic too then your making the right decision.

If you let us know whereabouts you are I am sure we can find your local dog rescues as well.
Breed rescue is the best option as most run from foster homes not kennels.

Might be worth talking to local vets - they may know someone who would take them.

Have you spoken to the breeder you got them from? S/he might know of experienced owners who've just lost an old dog and are looking to rehome another. Most good breeders would want to know if you had to rehome one of their puppies, so they know where they've gone.

And if it puts your mind at rest, my older dog had been returned after her first owner had a stroke - she now lives the life of Riley and has never been more loved.
