What boots do you wear for dog walking in the wet / mud ? ( not S&B!)

I have wellies (which are too cold), I had (& returned) waterproof warm boots, which leaked & now ive bought a slightly too tight waterproof but difficult to walk in boot, which has the rubber foot bit, iyswim ?

I need an all round waterproof, mid to high calf, for waking in the mud & rain & maybe snow boot.

Are you wearing it ? Where will I find it ?

I have got an old pair of hiking boots that have been going strong for ten years now. They just come up to my ankles - frankly if I was looking at mud going any higher, I wouldn't be out dog walking.
They have coped in all sorts of weathers, nice and warm and seem completely waterproof.

I wear trainers and they get wet but I cannot get on with wellies as I walk miles and they are not supportive enough

DH got me these for Christmas - it's the Juney boot, reduced from £125.00 to £60 (aaaarrrrrggghhhhh!). Doc M's - who would have thought? They are fur lined and so cosy and comfortable.

aigle wellies with heat holders socks. Was out in the paddock for 5 hours yesterday and didn't even notice my feet. Not a speck of chill and I normally get chilblains and very cold feet!

my aigle wellies are not neoprene lined, they are the normal ones. The neoprene ones get too hot in the summer and I wear wellies all year round Smile

thanks ! I love the Lands End ones, but they don't appear to be waterproof ?

Without sounding wet (!), it's either dew on the grass or waterclogged fields that are getting me. At the weekend DH actually had to carry me over a path (he was wearing wellies).

The clarks ones would be good if the cuff was longer, we must have lots of clay soil here as I'm always coming back with mud almost up to my knees

And I'm interested in the Doc Martens, are they waterproof ?

I have wellies & have put a winter insole in them (but not sheepskin) so can't wear thick socks - although can obviously change them over ! But they are still chilly.

I'll have a look at the liners.

These are what I have just bought, but as I said, bit clumpy& difficult to walk in - always in a hurry, so walk fast. waterproof, wam, but not quite right

i got Dubarrys for christmas from DH. Real kuxury price but hoping they last a lifetime. certainly much warmer than wellies.

Mine were £12 from TK Maxx though. Serious bargain, comfy, warm and really waterproof, even when walking through long grass.

Met someone today with the most gorgeous pair of leather wellies. I reckon I would need a second mortage for those. They were beautiful though.

Same as Gomez here, Derwent Muck Boots. I haven't had cold feet since I bought them - and since I've had them, DH and my sister and father have all bought them. Not stylish but waterproof and warm.

I was given these lovelies for xmas. Mainly to stop me moaning about cold feet standing in muddy fields watching motorbikes but they are great dog walking boots. Great for wet fields and muddy woods. So much warmer and more comfortable than wellies.
