Worming tablets

Maybe a stupid question but here goes...

The instructions say to give in the morning with half their usual meal then not to feed again for 8 hours.

Why can't you just give it last thing at night in a biscuit or something?

Will it have an effect on their bowels?

Thanks!

Mine have drontal and usually have a loose motion or two after taking it. I'm no vet though so couldn't tell you if that's what it's about.

This all comes down to what drug is in the tablets if it is piperizine this is a paralyse and purge drug so the more food you give the bigger the purge. Drontal dose contain this. If it is a newer wormer like milbemax that are kill wormers it should just be give with or after food as motions will be normal.
