Took Floraldog to the field with his mini football this morning . I kicked the ball ,he tried to catch it ,missed and it bounced off his head into a huge bramble patch. He then stood looking at me as if to say 'well go on then ' . Five minutes later and covered in scratches he's got his ball back and I didn't even get a thank you ! Bloody cheek .

If her ladyship gets a particularly muddy paw, she will dolefully hold it aloft and limp on three legs until me or DH wipes the offending muck

that is funny her ladyship indeed Grin

I have explained to her multiple times that the cat was tossed up from hell for being too mean and if boneydog will insist on shoving her muzzle in boneycats face, waking her up with a jump

Grin

Our last dog we got her from 12 weeks i Insisted that the cat was her mummy she would try and snuggle in cat did not do snuggles and would swipe her

My dog thinks that if she finds a tennis ball and runs around with it then everyone will stop what they are doing and throw it for her.She is often disappointed especially on school mornings when we are all rushing around and finding things and getting ready for work etc etc- in the middle of the chaos is saffrondog with a ball thinking that if we all just went to the park instead we would have a better day...
She also thinks that if she stares at us and moans while we are eating dinner than we will magically decide to share it with her.

I have 2 dogs and they both expect treats when anywhere near the back door.

DDog 1 expects to sleep in my bed with his head on my pillow. In reality he's in the kitchen and stays awake all night to guard the house. (He's a bundle of laughs during the day, I tell you)

DDog2 expects to eat all day and that the contents of the dirty dishwasher are for her perusal. Needless to say the door gets lowered, plates put in, and door firmly closed!

Mrsjay · 18/11/2012 11:10

jaydog climbs in the dishwasher I had to drag him out the other day his head was in the tray he also loves the dryer and puts his head in while im emptying looking for the best socks to steal

My boy expects me to control the weather too, only he dislikes rain, wind, snow, too much sun and too little sun.

Both dogs like to lie on our bed and chew tennis balls. Every minute or so they will push the ball on to the floor with their nose and look at me until I pick it up and give it back to them.

I try to convince myself that they think they're playing fetch with me, and I must love it, since they love it too. I try.

Girlydog expects me to enjoy full on face kisses every time I sit on the sofa. And will not allow me to sit without her sprawled on me and heaven forbid I get up!! Grin

Boy pup demands constant entertainment planning. He expects everything to be dropped for endless games of tuggy, fetch, treats, tricks and cuddles!!

They could both be far worse and are endlessly endearing Grin

Mine expects us to play 'catch' with him non-stop and always ensure current favorite toy is within paws length...

Often gets said toys stuck under the couch or just sits pointedly staring at them, back at us, back at the toy whimpering or 'mini-woofing' until we retrieve the toy or tell him to go and get it - because apparently at moments of his choosing, we must give him permission. This last one only applies when he obviously needs further amusement - the rest of the time he just picks up toy, dumps in on our lap and then pokes, paws or whines until we throw it for him...

He's also addicted to the tv and will do the whole stare at the tv, stare at us, mini woof if we aren't paying attention until said tv is turned on when he will climb into his bed or get on the sofa and settle down to watch whatever is on - apart from food programmes where he gets very excited, runs over licks the tv Hmm

Mine still expects me to stop the rain when its time for a wee she stands by the open door and just looks at me as if to say wee in the rain then walks back to her bed hides under her blanket and sighs its the same with snow. When she was a pup i had to carry her over large puddles cos she would refuse to walk and just sit there. Also she still hopes that while im on loo she gets a stroke she follows me in nudges next to me leg when i close the door she straches at tge door she is seven yrs old . Its like having a toddler again
