Feeling murderous about neighbour's fireworks

Even to human ears it sounds like ww3. SpicyDog is a mess even on Xanax.

I'm struggling not to go round and launch a foul mouthed tirade at them. Bonfire night is over!

Oh no, they've stopped round here- thank God!

stopcallingmefrank · 10/11/2012 18:53

The same for me. I don't like the neighbour in question anyway. Poor dog is cowering in the corner behind me.

SpicyPear · 10/11/2012 18:58

It has been almost every day for three weeks now. Next year I'm going to have to take her away from the city...

We've heard a lot of fireworks again tonight but fortunately our dog is oblivious and currently snoring on the sofa . It is dragging on a bit this year

SpicyPear · 10/11/2012 21:05

That's great floral. Our 12 week old is not paying any attention to them at all so hopefully he'll cope okay when he's older!

We think a lot of people postponed because it was wet here last weekend, but it's just very upsetting as she has already refused all walks for three weeks and we've had to cut her food right back.

Spoke too soon! Sad

Startail · 10/11/2012 21:34

Fireworks here will be next weekend, quiet ones as I know it isn't bonfire night.

Personally I think fire works are fair game this weekend as it rained last, but dogs daftness about fireworks is just another if the 10 billion reasons to not own a dog.

suburbandream · 11/11/2012 18:07

Grr, it's still going on here too - every bloomin' night since last Friday. It's Diwali on Tuesday so I suppose that means a few more days of it too. Pup's first Fireworks and he's been petrified. He is such a friendly, confident, happy go lucky dog normally that I just thought he'd be fine with it but he's a wreck Sad.

Just dreadful here too last night & tonight, worse than lat week!
My lot have been in a right state. Shaking except for my tiniest one who just wants to go outside & tell them off!

Wish one of those blooming rockets would set their house on fire. It gets worse every year.

SpicyPear · 11/11/2012 20:43

I just don't get it. Lots of kids are worried by them too, and it's any time from 5pm to midnight. I could live with them being allowed on the actual day, but this is just bloody selfish and anti-social, dogs aside.

Luckily, my dog ignores them unless he sees them explode, then he barks at them a good bit. He isn't terrified, though We seem to be getting a lot going off after 10pm. I'm assuming it's teenagers arsing about.
