Great news for the owners. What a star you've been.

I never really wanted to keep her. I would have, if her owner had not turned up, but she spent the whole time at my house whimpering if she was not being held and trying to get out of the front door - I assume to find her owner.

I am just happy she was missed as much as she was missing them

Them: Hello, we hear you were kind enough to take in our dog?
Dooin: I think you mean CAT.
Them:
Dooin: Here's your cats. Off you go.
Them: erm that's Two dogs? Our dog and a giant puppy trying to bite our sleeves. We only had one dog.
Dooin: No you definitely had CATS, please take your CATS away now. Byeeeee

I am very that you are allowed 3 dogs - We really can't squeeze another one in (probably a bit greedy!)

This thread has reminded me of our old cat though - he used to come for a walk with me and the dog. DH and I used to joke he was a dog, not a cat and called him our Austrian MausHund

DH made a point of mentioning that puppy was up for adoption when the lady remarked on how bonny he was

She already had a pining terrier at home waiting for his play mate to return.
