Just read this...

rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/archive/important-lung-worm-heart-worm__o_t__t_4789.html

My vet prescribes Milebemax every 3 months and Advocate once a month. When giving the Milebemax in the same month as applying the Advocate, am advised to allow at least one week between giving each product to avoid tummy upsets. After reading the responses to the article, am concerned I might be overdosing my dog. Should I be giving Drontal instead of Milbemax? And if so, how often? Also, my dog breathes rapidly after every application of Advocate which concerns me. Informed vet but he wasn't too concerned. Advocate seems like a good product as it prevents most parasitic infestations/infections. I know it doesn't prevent ticks and I was told that as soon as dog goes in water it is ineffective against fleas. But it prevents all the other parasites as product goes into blood stream. I realise it's a good product but just worry about my dog's fast breathing after each application. Doesn't seem right to me.
