Bit of a WWYD

Your out walking your dog, small terrier. On a massive bit of open land. Dogs running free you know this not a issue at all.
Your heavily pregnant and waddling, but most days up there you see the same people have a wave etc. however it appears today its a tourist spot.
So heavily pregnant lady, with terrier on short lead. Your dog(s) decide to run over full pelt. Cue terrier stood shaking backing off and trying to get away.

WWYD? When pregnant lady says- he's scared of other dogs?
I am pregnant lady.

Obviously put free running dog back on lead as owner of free dog and remove from scene.

Perhaps advise pregnant lady to join her dog in a local dog training group where pack walks take place and her little dog is taught how to let other dogs meet it without fear; ie. not face to face but bum to face?

Thank you!
I wasn't being unreasonable in my thinking. Two bloody wacking Alsatians just frightened the life out of him. He's got rigours Mortis now!
She didn't put them back on a lead! I had to pick him up all my behaviourist and dog classes and everything been set back now.

(he was attacked previously)

He was coming along great too!!!
She snorted what a fucking precious dog at me!!

Loose dogs should not be allowed to approach dogs on leads. Dogs on leads tend to be more unhappy socialising with others because of the lead and it's only polite to leave them alone.

Stupid to allow unleashed dogs to approach a dog on a lead! If a dog is on a lead, I assume there's a reason for it and control kids/dogs accordingly. Foster Dog, for example, feels that other dogs are for eating and is always on a close lead. If a random dog bounded up to him, he would very possibly bite and random dog owner would be at fault.
