Submissive pup

So lil is about 6 months now (lab x collie), and completely submissive with other dogs, she cant run around and play with my friends whippy as she just rolls on her back as soon as he comes over! Ultimate today when she rolled on her back for a teeny tiny 9 wk old pup!
She's also an excited submissive wee'er when she meets people or goes into vets/pets at home etc. Excitement rather than timid/fear.
Please tell me she'll grow out of it?!!

ours did :) she was a lab x collie (or maybe collie x lab!) and we rehomed her when she was about 6 months old. She was very submissive and pee-d when it all got a bit much. She did grow out of it but it was a long time ago, so can't remember when! she looks very very cute :)

We have a working collie pup and she's still very submissive (she's just over 2). She'll bow down to a pup too. She's getting better now but it's taken a lot of training to stop her rolling over. It's cute though!

We're trying to build her confidence by allowing her to work alone, and lavish her with praise, but she lives with top dog and retired dog and is bottom of the pack (she's miserable if she's housed alone though).

It sounds as though this may be a collie thing...

It is cute, and i'd much rather her this way than boisterous lunatic!! But she gets trampled on by the bigger dogs and yelps! (and i get all maternal!)I feel like saying to her well get on yer feet you twonk, but of course she wouldnt understand!! Thankyou both :o)

Exactly the same here (freakishly so - also got a 6 month old lab x collie!)

She wees whenever anything remotely exciting happens and although loves other dogs always rolls straight onto her back! She is not submissive with our older lab (bossy if anything) so not worried about it. To be honest I'm glad she's not one of those overbearing, diving over all other dogs kind of pups that my older dog hates!

Definate progress tonight, only submitted once to each dog and managed a crazy hare around the field with a black lab, a collie x springer, 4 mth old lab and a collie. She is currently snoring and twitching and smiling!!

I've got a collie pup and he's v submissive. It's a good thing atm really as if he stands up to the cats too much he might come away with more than he bargained for!
