I am so proud of pimmsdog but feel here is the only place where I can brag about his momentous achievement this morning with out people looking Hmm at me

So walking pimmsdog with 3 eldest DCs this morning and he saw horse poo, walked up to it, sniffed it, I shouted "leave it" (in my best Mrs woodhouse voice), rattled his treats and YES WOW he came to me and with treat in my hand I managed to get him to walk past it without eating it. He didn't even go back when I had given him his treat.

Yes normal, non dog, friends would never understand my joy. Have also managed to relocate the bin from the pantry back into the kitchen today.

Well done Pimms dog. Small but important victory.

If only I could get my dog to leave the cat's shit alone.
I caught her INSIDE the cats domed litter tray the other day, eating the shit. No wonder she is putting on so much weight. She's quite a portly lady and the entrance to the tray is quite small. I'm thinking now of constructing around the tray so she cann't get in (I already thought she couldn't!).

Why do they like shit so much????

Well done, Pimmsdog. That's fab Smile. I am fascinated by the fact that any dog would be interested in horse poo...I can sort of understand why they might like cat/dog poo but horse poo would just be digested grass/oats wouldn't it? (ie; not as tasty). EW.

Pimms, that's brilliant. Grin

And why do so many proud dog conversations seem to end up on the subject of poo? Smile

RedwingS · 23/07/2012 16:04

Pimms, that's fantastic! Well done.

Well done pimms and pimmsdog!

I had a similar incident last week when I could see Silly Spaniel was a bit hot and heading for a really sludgy puddle in which to cool down. No I shouted as he was lowering himself into it and I was really pleased when he stopped and trotted off.
However on turning the next corner I found him laying happily in a much deeper muddier puddle that he'd remembered was there and was also out of my sight Hmm

Scuttlebutter I am sure it is because we are all so fascinated disgusted with the fact that they wish to eat it in the first place.

However pimmsdog has now fallen from high up on his pedestal as he was out in the garden and came in having cut his paw and has put blood all over my hall and lounge carpetsAngry. He is now fine and laying on the sofa whilst I have spent the last 40 mins with the carpet cleaner out trying to get the blood out of the carpet and now have DCs complaining about their wet feet from the carpet, didn't hear them complaining earlier when they had all been swimming in the mud and pond with pimmsdog and walked it all in the house for me to clean Confused

Looking on the bright side with DCs off school and pimmsdog enjoying their company I will be getting maximum use out of my expensive carpet cleaner in the near future Grin
