I need a little help with feeding amounts, my pomeranian pup is 11wks today and i feed her on 15g per meal. 4 meals a day. although i weigh out 15g of treats and count this as one of her 4. (treat bowl made up of chicken and pup treats)

I give her breakfast in a bowl.... school run, 3DC's to get together and hungry dog! just quieter & easier for that time of day.

lunch is fed by stuffed kong and dinner is feed by hand whilst training/treating while she walks on a lead and of lead, sits, comes, stay etc. (only around the house as she cant go out out until sat :) cant wait!!!)

treats are given in short training sessions throughout the day. BUT im not sure if im weighing her food right wrong or inbetween Confused i cant read doggy mind but im sure she's still hungry, following me around. when we have dinner she tries to jump up at the table to eat. although now she is put in the kitchen when dinner is ready. she hovers the floor licking any trace of food!

she weighs 1.4kg - when ive tried to google for ideas, i get different amounts, i know each pup is different given the size of pup breed and if dog is food driven. whats your view on how much to give a dog?

she has just got over tummy problems with gloopy/wet poo, so she is on chicken & rice. im going to start introducing natures menu (barf) to her original food 25% a time but i just wanted to know if she's getting the right amount in the first place?

advice would be great thanks

Feed her more and see what happens. It sounds as though she is very hungry - and don't forget feeding rates for puppies are far higher than for adult dogs.

Tbh, she needs nutrition, not treats. Can you not use a quality kibble for treats, or make some liver cake (loads of recipes online)?

Add a bit of extra food to her breakfast, lunch and supper and see if it makes any difference to how she behaves. Watch her poo - if it goes sloppy, feed a bit less. Watch her - if she feels OK, then you're doing alright. If she looks plump, knock a bit off.

when i upped her james wellbeloved she got gloopy/wet poo, but i also made liver cake and used it as treat. so not sure which one it was that upset her stomach. she wont eat kibble unless it softened, then she was being sick and bringing it back up.

she's fine since being on the chicken & rice. started adding natures menu. just wasnt sure how much is enough. will add i little more she how she goes.

her treats was natures menu chicken treats. sometimes she gets puppy milk drops and a few coachies biscuits treats. what she dont eat in treats i put back into her meal.

she loves a carrot fresh from the fridge and a little bit of apple, if she has these i count it as part of her daily weight amount and dont give as many treats. im not sure if im doing it right - why im asking 101 questions! Confused

thanks

Honestly? I think you should trust yourself a bit more!

You're doing a good job - she is growing and happy.

JWB does sometimes upset tummies; and so do a hundred and one other things, most of which we don't even know they've troughed. Personally, I would reduce the variety of things she's eating; she honestly won't have a clue or care. Stick to one or two different foodstuffs - out of your list, I'd go with the natures menu, carrots and one type of treat. Let her tummy settle down a bit.
