The best and cheapest wormers and de- flea-ers for dogs?

I've got 2 medium sized dogs and was wondering what I should get... I'm always a bit haphazard in my approach to buying both the above, and buy stuff at the supermarket. Its always so expensive...

Any online places I should go for a good deal? Am happy to buy in 'reasonable bulk'.

Many Thanks!

We use Program Plus (not standard Program), which I think you can only get from the vet. This does both fleas, ticks and worms (standard program only does fleas/ticks). You need to give it every month, but at least it's only one tablet to remember rather than 2.

If you are a costco member you can get frontline very cheaply. I buy drontal from the vets but believe it's much cheaper if you get a prescription and buy online. New pup has advocate as has a slug and snail fetish.

Thanks for you replies. I have a friend who's a member of Costco, so will ask her to see if she can get me something.

I always reckon that vets are out to flog you as much as possible while they have you in their grip - I don't trust them!

I am trying ectoline, a cheaper version of frontline atm. I get milbemax wormer from my vet, and it's only £5.85 every three months.

For defleaing is worth looking at the seresto collars in my practice for any dog over 8kg a collar is just under £35 and kills live fleas, prevents them from breeding in the house and repels ticks for 8 months yes you read that right 8 months. It is really effective and I am really happy with it on my own dog who is a tick magnet.

We've started using Advantage spot-on for fleas. When we used Frontline previously we had to use it every 4 weeks religiously or ddog would get the fleas back and bite himself to pieces. I last used Advantage about 6 months ago and he is still completely flea free!

Thank you all - now that I have some more to go on, I will 'go Google' the products you've mentioned.
Thanks again
