I only allow it on a Friday as I change the bedding on Saturday. No wonder my dogs are confused.

Our dogs aren't allowed upstairs, except for baths. They would love us all to sleep in one giant dog nest, but I'd be worried about them falling off the bed and hurting themselves - a friend of ours had a beautiful champion dachshund who fell off the bed and badly injured his back.

They also snore, smell and shed. But to be honest, this is less of an issue...

Nope, if he slept on our bed we'd be on the floor, he's a greyhound :o but he has a bed in the corner of our room. When we first got him he got on the bed twice, 1st time I was out the room, 2nd time both DP and I were downstairs. He hasn't tried it since.

No. My DH snores , couldn't stand the dog being there and snoring too - can hear her at night when she is downstairs !

When we went camping last year - her first time - she had a tendency to try and get on the blow up beds with us in the morning - she was nice and warm though Grin

No, (if he slept on our bed there would be no room for us) but he does sleep at the foot of our bed on the floor, on a dog bed that we put down for him at night.

Takver · 18/03/2012 22:28

Nope, downstairs only here too. He does sneak up and sleep on the half landing sometimes though. The cat isn't allowed on the bed (or in the bedroom when we're asleep) either, though she is allowed - under sufferance - to sleep on the window seat during the day.

He did sit in with dd beside her cot for a while when she was a toddler and wouldn't settle without company, but came out once she was asleep. (Dog not cat that is, I'm not sure our cat would have been that soothing Grin )

Aw takver that is so cute about yr dog keeping yr dd company.

When ds was poorly a few weeks ago, doing that lying limply on the sofa thing, the dog didn't leave his side. Just wrapped himself round him like a big black blankie. Very cute.

If it was up to me my gorgeous Collie x Lab would sleep on the bed and my DP downstairs but DP won't let her so she has a huge cushion (about the size of a single bed) to sprawl out on, on the floor by the side of my bed

I have a greyhound and a jack Russell in my bed. Greyhounds legs are always kicking me. Jack Russell likes cuddles and sleeps next to me with his nose under my chin!
If the greyhound gets out at any time, I then get woken by whining and scratching at the duvet as he wants to get back in!
Just me in the bed so its not a problem. When boyf stays over greyhound sleeps on sofa under his own duvet!

I'm with feesh Bedroom is private, no dogs allowed.

Ephiny · 19/03/2012 10:40

No, but with two big Rottweilers on the bed there wouldn't be much room for anyone else! We used to let younger dog sleep in the bedroom with us (on his own bed), but now that we have the elderly one who can't manage stairs, we have them both sleeping downstairs.

Old dog dribbles wee a bit as well, so wouldn't really like that on my bed! They both snore as well Hmm.

GrittersWifeAndProud · 20/03/2012 13:51

Signet what app is that?

NotMostPeople · 20/03/2012 13:58

Nope, I could be persuaded but DH is of the no sex with the dog in the room brigade. He does hop up there during the day as our bed is opposite huge balcony windows so is a real sun trap, yesterday he left a bone there which was lovely to find when we got into bed Hmm. I love it at the weekend when one of the early wakers let's him up and he snuggles with me for a lie in and I do find I sleep very well snuggled on the sofa with him too.

No more smelly farts since we moved him onto a fish based food or there's no way he'd be allowed.
