Pigs ears?

Are these as bad for dogs as the rawhide chews? Still trying to find something my dog really loves to chew. He loves rawhides but I don't want to give him them any more as he gets through them (totally consumes them) very quickly and I know it's not great for their digestion. I can't find any local butchers who'll give me 'real' bones. Got some 'stag bars' as recommended on here and they seem great but don't hold his interest for long. He seems to empty out kongs very quickly, even if frozen. What else can I try? Thanks.

My dog had a pig's ear once - and he ate it in about 30 seconds! I don't know if they are good or bad (not keen on them because they smell so bad, at least that one did) but wouldn't recommend as holding interest for long....

....we got a cube thingy that you put kibble in, from PetPlanet, and it takes ages to empty but is very difficult to get last bits out of. Even I can't Blush Maybe worth a try?

We use cow years, don't last an awful lot longer but don't smell, not greasy and don't cause tummy upsets. The lesser of two evils!

Porridge just loves pigs ears! One will last him quite a long time because he hasn't got many teeth. He insists in taking it outside to the corner of the garden and if he is entirely on his own charges about throwing it in the air before settling down for a good chew. I'd be very sad if there was a good reason for him not to have them as they sem to give him more pleasure than anything else. The only disadvantage is the stench!

The pigs ears Dill has don't stink Confused

He takes them into the garden and comes back without them - I think he is using them to build a life sized replica of a pig out there somewhere.

Well, I gave him the one I had. He ran around with it excitedly, tossed it around a bit, then settled down to gobble it up. Lasted ten minutes I think. Back to the drawing board for longer lasting entertainment...

Decent marrow bones from the butcher are much better value and last waaaaaaaaay longer.
