Dog breath

My dog seems prone to bad (fishy) breath. He had his teeth de-scaled about a month ago, and for the first week or so he smelt divine, but the fishy smell has come back, even though I am now cleaning his teeth with dog toothbrish and toothpaste daily.

He eats dry dog food, and I don't let him have any sugary leftovers, although he does get savoury scraps.

I've tried Dentastix, but he wolfs them down without them really touching the sides so I don't think they do the job. Is there a more hardcore version of Dentastix? It needs to be something fully edible - he's not interested in chewing for the sake of it - I've tried the white rawhide bones and he ignores them.

Any suggestions appreciated!

A nice big meaty raw bone! He'll love it and so will his teeth :)

Our dog had bad breath and had his teeth de-scaled a while back, the vet gave us something to put in his water to keep it at bay (along with the teeth brushing) sorry we've ran out and I can't remember what the stuff was called!
