Dog peed on another mums leg

My dog has peed on another mums leg at school!
I had just let him off the lead and there were two other mums with their tiny dogs
My dog went running up playfully and then PEED on the other mum
She was very nice about it(nicer than I would have been), but did say these shoes are new, and that her trousers needed changing cos they are wet!
WWYD
Flowers? sorry my dog peed on your leg card?

a dog de bourdeuax peed on my leg in the summer, thats a lot of wee, I was a bit grumpy about it but these things happen, hardley your fault, not like you peed on her leg as long as you apologised I would forget about it.

Ive always believed that if you (or someone/thing that you are responsible for) damages another persons property, then you should at least offer to repair the damage...can you offer to get her new shoes 'cleaned'...some dry cleaners do wedding shoes.

How embarrassing. I have posted on here before about my dog weeing on a boy's sports bag at the local playing fields. I was soundly berated by the boy's father and told I wasn't good enough to own a dog. Xmas Hmm.

I was on a beach last year when someone else's dog weed on a beach towel. Eek!

Flowers I think.

What age is he and is he castrated?

Svrider · 02/12/2011 19:19

He's 5 and not castrated
I posted a thread last week about him peeing in conservatory but the consensus was that castration wouldn't help
I didn't take him to pick up dcs but went armed with another apology and cash fir cleaning bill
The woman wasn't there, so I'll keep an eye out next week

Eww
Presumably this is different amngst dog owners?

I would expect fry cleaning bill for trousers and new boots £££

I would take him to the vet but this could be a time when castration may help however there may be many reasons why he may be peeing in inappropriate places.

Marking can sometimes be sorted by castration however if it has just started in a five year old dog I would want to rule out infections etc.

You need to rule out all physical reasons and only your vet can do that - then you can start looking at behavioural issues.

Minimuu I've struggled with him peeing in inappropriate places since he was a pup
He was almost a year old b4 he finally was "house trained" but still have to keep an eye on him in the house
First time he's ever done anything like this though
I did take him to the vet for a general check, worm and booster jab
The vet is a farmer type of vet and fell in love with him
She couldnt see anything physically wrong with him ( phew)
Essential fatty acid I know ewwwwwwBlush
I was very relieved when the mum laughed off the incidentBlush
I would have been Angry

Um, why were you letting him off the lead at school?

I'd be offering to pay for the shoes as well.

The thing is about castrating to stop unwanted behaviours, that by 5, it's very hard to separate hormonal behaviour from learned behaviour.
