this is killing me but i have one unhappy doodle :( he needs constant attention which i cant give him. he needs more exercise thwn i can give him.

he is a fab dog, i love him, buit i hate seeing him unhappy. he is loyal, obidenent, walks fab on lead. but vocal about everything. especially his unhappiness.

i dont know what to do :( i want him happy and secure.

misdee - if/when you decide you are ready for him to come back i would recommend you contact www.papas.org.uk as they have nationwide vetted volunteer dog walkers and fosterers available free of charge to people who are unwell or disabled. pnd is an illness. well done for realising that you needed help and for thinking of your dog at such a difficult time. i can understand how you would feel pnd 'won' but actually you took control of the situation

thanks chick and everyone. i have contacted papas before but they dont have anyone local.

i feel a bit lost tonight. but there is no barking, howling or pacing dog. ralph has settled down, and being lovely and gentle to us all. am hoping he'll be ok overnight by his self.

I think we made the right choice. Ralph is a different dog and tom has settled in at his parents house, so much so the lady said if we def want him rehomed she would try and keep him.

Are you having treatment for your PND? If so, is there someone you can call to discuss things with - GP, CPN? Your anxiety is through the roof and won't do any of you any good (from fellow anxiety sufferer)

If the PND had won then your Tom-boy would have been hurt or killed, not placed in a loving foster home. Please hold onto that. You're a fabulous mum to all your charges

Why does he have to come back to you if the breeder is looking for a home for him?

HereBefore · 31/05/2011 18:20

So sorry to hear this Sad, sounds like you've got a great breeder there but if necessary the Labradoodle Trust www.labradoodletrust.com/ can also help.

chickchickchicken · 31/05/2011 22:13

misdee - if you feel up to it can you explain what is happening? is the breeder not keeping him now? take care and try not to worry (easier said than done i know)

chickchickchicken · 31/05/2011 22:18

misdee - wanted to add that the doghouse has been quiet'ish the last day or two so dont worry if not many responses for a while

LittleB · 31/05/2011 22:36

Have you tried the cinnamon trust? They will provide dog walkers voluntarily for people who are ill. I know someone who volunteers for them, shes lovely and walks dogs for lots of different people. Might be worth a try?

DooinMeCleanin · 01/06/2011 00:06

Misdee, remember Vallhala's offer? Maybe PM her. If you feel you can't have him back, she might be able to take him until she can find somewhere for him.

I wish I could offer more help but I am too far away.
