Does anyone want my dog crate?

I am reluctant to ger rid of it but in reality, my pup needs a bigger crate. So, are there any regular MNers who would like it?
Very quick measurements are length = 30", depth = 19" height = 22"
it folds flat and must be collected or possibly delivered locally to dalston or maybe Harlow.

I refuse to throw it away as there is nothing wrong with it!

Loft - in waiting for the next puppy?? Grin

My puppy will be with us for the next 14 or so years (fingers crossed) and we definitely don't plan a 2nd puppy!

Would appreciate it for DD2. :o

If you have no takers I'm sure that a local rescue would appreciate it. You might like to post it on the Yahoo group UK Animal Rights, which is frequented by people like me and by rescues and one of those I use to appeal for transport, rescue places and homecheckers. If you offer it as available to anyone who transports dogs from pounds to rescues or who fosters I'm sure it would be very much appreciated there too.

Bugger! That's lots of "appreciates", isn't it!

kid · 27/02/2011 22:28

Lol
I just want it to be put to good use. Teddy still uses it to nap in but I never lock him in it. It takes up a lot of space and we've hit our shins on the door too many times now!

I'm sure I'll find someone to pass it on to. Thank you for the suggestions

Either give it to a local rescue, or sell it on ebay/ gumtree! I am going to be opening a vet practice soon, and am looking to buy a few crates off ebay for patients in recovery/ isolation patients/ patients I have to take home- you should be able to sell it ok

kid · 27/02/2011 23:47

It was given to me so I don't want to make a profit on it. I guess I could sell it and donate the money to a rescue place.
Will probably do that if no-one needs it here.

I reckon the money you could get for it wouldn't allow a rescue to buy one for the same money (think Ebay and postage/seller/paypal fees) - so I would say if you were could, donate it straight to a rescue if you can Smile.

My old (huge plastic) dog bed is going to my favoured local rescue soon.

kid · 27/02/2011 23:58

Ok, I'll have a look tomorrow to see where local rescue is. From what I remember, there aren't any very close to me but I'll double check anyway.
Thanks for the suggestions

I'd imagine any rescue would be grateful for it - if only to be able to pass it to a fosterer for them to use while having a resident of the appropriate size.

The shin factor is why we resisted getting a crate and training our guy into it to be honest!
