I insisted both my teengaged dcs apologised to the dog this afternoon as she was asking to go out to do a wee and they both ignored her. She accepted their apologies graciously (and neither of my dcs questioned apologising to a dog - why would they?)

I always apologis to mine too, and sing to him, and talk to him almost constantly and I'm definitely not mad. At all. No sirreee! I am very very sane.
