Puppies available in rescue.

In view of the common misconception that there are few or no puppies in rescue I thought I'd list those which come to my attention for the benefit of those specifically looking for a pup - although I must stress that adult dogs can be far less work, many come from family homes so they DO have a history and are in rescue through no fault of their own... and are in far greater need of help of course.

The dogs I will list will only be those I get to hear of so this is no substitute for contacting not just local rescues but those further afield, some of whom will rehome across the UK. Many of the smaller rescues will rehome to people with children - each rescue makes it's own rules and some are more flexible than others so do ask and if the first rescue you approach won't, please don't give up.

Normal rescue terms will apply and any interested parties will of course be homechecked. This is on order to match the right dog to you and sort out any potential problems before they occur - it's for your benefit as much as the dog's. A good rescue will also neuter, vaccinate and microchip, offer lifetime support and advice and contract to take the dog back aat any time on his life if the owner cannot keep him. As a rescuer my advice is to avoid those who won't offer these things.

So, here's the first:

Three AmBull puppies, approx 4 months old, in rescue and looking for homes. Applications from across the country welcome, usual rescue terms apply.

Applicants must accept that I have a soft spot for this breed and that I WILL be jealous! :o

Hi Vallhalla

Did you mean to add a link to this? Brilliant idea by the way.
I am currently persauding my brother to go down the rescue route rather than buying from a breeder.

Brilliant Valhalla.

Just been for a walk on the beach with the dog and DP and we talked about getting another.
Are the AmBulls boys or girls?

What a great idea, i have a white Staff (similar to the one on your profile), she wasn't a rescue pup but i am tempted to get her a friend as she craves company from people and other dogs. I would love a AmBuul pup if dh would let me Sad (i will keep asking him until he gives in).

The AmBulls are in the breed rescue, which is now part of Bullies In Need, another great one.

No idea of their sex but an email to the American Bulldog Rescue UK should tell you. Wink

(PS Marne, just get rid of DH, it's easier by far than begging and pleading him to agree! :o ).

Great idea Grin (have tried many times).

Where are the pups?, if i was to get enother dog i would have to see if my offer Staff would be ok with it before deciding. (Always wanted an American bull).

American Bulldog Rescue UK is based in Lincs but rehomes across the country from it's foster homes.
