My husband had just been made redundant, apart from being a massive shock we need to make some savings pretty quickly.

I feed my Labradoodle on burns dry food alongside naturediet.

Can anyone reccomend any cheaper but good alternatives.

thanks

Our dogs would NOT eat Wainrights. They have never not eaten anything before, but they wouldn't touch it. I am pretty strict about just putting the food down and taking it up if they don't eat it and having more than one alays helps their appetites, but they hated it. They would just walk away from the food when I put it down. In the end, they were losing weight and I had to give up.

Is ordering online cheaper? If so any recommended websites?

Mine do really well on Skinner's field & trial mixes, £17 for 15kg bag. Costs about £25 a month to feed 2 BIG dogs!

My 2 are on Royal Canin, bought online it is much cheaper than from the Vet/Pet shop, but it is still quite expensive.

Would love a really good dry food that isnt too expensive though.

We used Burns when Loofa was a young pup, but it just didnt fill him up enough, so changed to ARden Grange which did, it was the working dog variety though, which he did fantastically well on.

Now he is on his Sensitivity Control RC it is pricey but his coat is lovely and his mouth is much better.

www.feedem.co.uk does branded pet food quite a bit cheaper than rrp and you get free delivery if you spend over 45 quid.

All those of you with Labradoodles/labs on Wainwrights, do you use Large Breed or standard formula?

I've just changed my pup onto it from Eukanuba Large Breed puppy, so kept him on Large Breed puppy mix, but not sure if that's the preserve of Giant breeds?
