minimu - a mince question

I've finished the natural instinct stuff and won't be getting it again because of the cost and that is contains bone - and elsie's getting all the bone she needs with chicken legs/carcasses etc.

Do you buy your mince/tripe/meat chunks and if so where?

I'm just off to PAH so I thought I'd get a bag of their green tripe.

Any other recommendations

thank you Smile

oh yes and 2nd Q Grin in order to get her up to the 10% of offal do you serve a few meals a week of just liver/heart or do you add a bit in with your other meat stuff?

I get my food from Landywoods

link here It gets delivered every month or so.

re liver I put in a very small amount into other meals as one of mine has a "sensitive" stomach with regards to liver. I also use it in training treats.

thanks

I've been putting off a landywoods order as I've been unable to get into my giant garage freezer for a few months. Is it quite a fearsome sight when they come with your delivery of meat and bones? I've heard tales of portioning things up for half a day.

I presume landywoods is cheaper than PAH (not difficult, the thieves).

Those tripe chunks...holy hell in a hand grenade the smell nearly knocked me for six when I opened the bag. She'll be eating them in the garage.

Yes it does work out much cheaper. The delivery is just gruesome at first Grin

ummm tripe an aquired taste and smell - mine have to eat it outside but it does get into your lungs for the rest of the day.

I guess it depends what you order re portioning things up but then it is done for a month or so.

I hope you don't mind me picking your brains.

Chunks or mince? Is the mince just the chunks well um minced up?

I just observed (at a distance with nostrils covered) the tripe chunks being eaten inhaled, not really a whole lot of chewing going on. The chunks were certainly dearer, are they 'better' somehow?

I use either I think it is just personal preference. If the do gulp it I guess mince would be better. Mine get enough chewing with bones. How can they eat that stuff!

Slubberdegullion · 03/11/2010 14:23

I have no idea how they eat it...and not just that seem to enjoy the whole experience too. For creatures with such a finely developed sense of smell you think they'd head for the hills and the merest sniff of the stuff.

funny things
