Why would my facebook say that I 'like free to nice home ukkc registered bulldog puppy'?

I don't like advertising dogs on gumtree at all. And certainly not for free.

My Dad has puppy envy atm and I know he was looking a bulldog puppy, but couldn't reply to the ad as he doesn't know his phone number and has no e-mail address. No-one would help him.

But how has he managed to get it on my FB? Why would he put it on my FB, when he knows I don't approve of getting animals off Gumtree? And I don't approve of him getting a puppy, lest of all a Bull breed?

He is very ill (artheritus/epilepsy/angina/asthma) and is unable to walk the two dogs he already has. Any puppy he gets will be left for me to walk.

I fully understand he cannot live without a dog and I have told him that I will help him find a suitable rescue dog, when his two pass/need to be pts Sad, which is looking like it will be sooner rather than later. And I am more than willing to pop around at the begining of my dogs walks and collect his.

I know it sounds awful thinking about replacing his dogs before they have passed, but this is something he is really worried about. He has had dogs all of his life and is already suffering depression. He fears will get worse if he does not have his dogs/a dog to occupy him during the day and his two are really old.

Grrr. I am feeling really annoyed with him atm. But more to the point how the hell has he got on my FB and why does he think I would help him with this?

Every one from their house is denying all knowledge Hmm. I don't go on Gumtree. Ever. But I do know someone who was looking at Bulldog puppies two days ago. The same day this appeared on my FB Hmm

Apparently it is my sister who is going to care for this dog. I have directed them to the nearest rescue center Smile

Well I would refuse to walk the two he has and let your sister see how much responsibility it is and whether she is happy to do this for 12 years of the next dogs life.

My sister is scared of one of the dogs. She thinks that if the Akita decided he wanted to have a go at another dog or a child she wouldn't be strong enough to control him.

He's very old and weak now so this wouldn't be a problem, but it's something she has had in her head since he was a puppy.

I am confident that a) he would never do that anyway because I have trained and socialised him with other dogs and don't let children near him on our walks and b) I can control him through commands and the training he has had.

She doesn't want a powerful dog and claims she didn't help my dad with hacking my FB. She wants a whippet or lurcher type dog.
