I've got an 8 month bichon frise that is pooing and weeing everywhere. He woke me up at 6 this mroning so let him out, came back in sat in living room for an hour then went back to bed. In that time he has weed in two places and pood in the bathroom.

I then read my daughters facebook status that says she went to bed last night and he's weed on her bed then my other daughter tells me she's found dog poo on her bed the last two mornings .

I've been at home a lot the last few weeks as i've jsut had surgery, so why is he doing this everywhere when he can ask to go out.

There is also a 4 yr old lhasa and i'm not entirely sure that he isnt responsible for at least some of it as he has been known in the past for weeing over things. I never see either of them doing it what am i supposed to do I am at a loss. Please help

Do you have a crate/puppy cage at all? That would be the way to go when unsupervised at night/out shopping etc and return back to basics for house training in the day when you are around - out in to the garden every half hour with someone to supervise (all weathers!) and lots of praise when he does the right thing in the right place. If you catch him in the act in the house get him straight out into the garden then praise him for being there. He is going to need a lot of attention and input so please try and ensure you are home as much as possible and not leaving him to his own devices too much while you are getting this problem sorted out.

Dogs do not like to soil their own beds so using a crate will help to ensure he is clean and dry overnight, but should he really get caught short then at least the mess is contained for you. The crate shouldn't be used to shut him in during the day though unless you are out - leave the door open for him to use it as a bed when he chooses, but allow him freedom in the house when he is awake, but of course lots of keeping a close eye on him from there.

yes do the whole crate thing its just him doing everything everywhere even when i'm in the house. Like you said back to basics i guess but i've never caught them in the act
