It's normal for ours!

She's 11 weeks old tomorrow and the hiccups come and go quite a lot.

Don't worry about them; they'll pass.

booyhoo · 04/09/2010 23:22

yep you're right, they have gone now Smile

the first tim ehe got them was the night i took him home and my sister said i should take him to the vet. i laughed at her and told her not to be ridiculous buthe has just had them again and i thought maybe she was being sensible. it appears we were both being a bit PFP Grin

My lab is 2 now but had dreadful hiccups from about 9 to 12 weeks. Her whole body used to heave but she never seemed to mind!

They pass! Smile

pinkanimal · 05/09/2010 18:09

boo Storm has hiccups at least 5 times a day! Smile not sure why or how?

booyhoo · 05/09/2010 20:39

this is all very reassuring to know, although i feel very stupid for worrying about it Blush

Flupps is our 4 month old Labradoodle and he still gets them occasionally!

daisydotandgertie · 05/09/2010 20:48

Ah, but we're meant to worry about everything to do with our precious puppies.

My current worry; joints. She is a leaper and belts around after the big dogs as fast as she can manage; and we live on a steep hill, so there are steps everywhere. There are even two in the kitchen. I keep explaining to her that her joints have to last her for life, and that she should take care of them. But she doesn't listen. Wink

We're doing a lot of carrying at the moment Grin

booyhoo · 05/09/2010 21:01

you won't be doing that for much longer if she is growing anything like WB is. he has gotten so big in the last fornight.

I think we've bought ten ton tessie who was pretending to be a labrador.

She's getting v, v heavy - on Tuesday last week she weighed 6.75kg and I am sure she must be at least another kg heavier now.

She's had all her jabs now - and on Tuesday we can take her into the big wide world without having to lug her about. Brilliant.

Have you got any training done yet? We're working hard with this pup - and hope it pays off. She's got v, v strong field trialling lines in her pedigree so I'm expecting quite a lot from her - she certainly seems v bright so far.

booyhoo · 05/09/2010 21:24

only the basic sit and down commands. he seems to be struggling wih knowing his name so am working on that and am starting tomorrow with walking on a lead. he gets his second set of jabs on friday so we have to wait another week after that before we can go out so am hoping to get a lead walking cracked by then so it is only a case of walking with distraction. we already take him out in the basket of the buggy on he school run to get himused to all the sights and sounds so hopefully walking amongst them won't be too daunting Grin

you have just prompted me to weigh WB - if i can hold him long enough to do it, he is heavy!!
