The Happy Place Café and Tilly's dog wash is still open.

Morning and welcome.

To anyone new this is the Happy Place Café, all food and drink served here is calorie free. Everyone is welcome.

There are some people who have been here for literally years and others are newer.

The staff are me, obviously, Florence a French pastry chef who is married to Fernando the cocktail waiter (no one knows where Fernando is from so we suspect the marriage was about visas).

In a previous incarnation one of the regulars was Tilly (RIP) who brought a sparkling light in to the café along with a lemur named Leo.

Leo runs a dog wash (Tilly had a golden retriever and her family agreed to the dog wash as a tribute) but as there are rarely and dogs around he will wash anything, his other interests are goats and eggs. He spends every morning cooking eggs.

Outside the café is seating and a water feature, the water feature becomes a swimming pool in summer and an ice rink in winter. There is also a petting zoo.

Other residents are the kittenbees who are kittens the size of a bee with wings, they are very gentle but like to nibble anything sweet. Please do not give them alcohol.

Outside is where their larger cousins the bumblecats live, they are about the size of a fist and a lot more feisty than the kittenbees.

There is normally a daily special for breakfast and sometimes there is a pack up / bait / packed lunch.

Now to breakfast.

I thought a little trip to Germany would fit this morning so Florence is making bread rolls, soft and crusty, Leo is baking / frying / boiling eggs and Fernando is serving Apfelkorn.

I put out a selection of cooked meats, cheeses, jam, nutella, marmalade and if you want that abomination that people wither love or hate, it is in a locked box in the garden, far from the café, that is where it is to be consumed.

Actually I watched a vid from 'Atomic Shrimp' the other day that featured the brown paste added to warm milk.

Joke may be appropriate. It is the pelvis so they may do an internal. I've had one before and they asked me which condom I wanted, I was tempted to say, "ribbed".

I have biscuits ready for the department.

They ask you about condoms ? Crikey ! I had an internal once for early pregnancy bleeding. Don’t even remember if they rubbered up !

Fingers crossed for a clear ultrasound and clear internal... Iv had afew and they arent to bad. But they didnt ask what condom i wanted.
That reminded me of a comedy programme when a big gold condom was offered but i cant remember what show it was 🤣

Well the U/S was OK. I forgot to take the biscuits and my next appointment is in a different hospital.

@tattoonewbie have a look in the fridge, that's where the leftovers go.

A steaming hot pho, banh cuon and Xoi. Florance is making Banh mi. Leo is making banh mi op la and Fernando is serving ruou nep.
I'll put some salads to serve on the side because it can all be a bit spicy.

Sorry for the late start, I was awake in the night and I started watching Doc, and I thought, "I'll just watch another one".

I think something simple will go down well so Florence is making crumpets and scotch pancakes.

I'll put out jams, marmalade and of course butter, lots of it.

Leo has a new egg recipe, folded fried eggs if you want to give them a try.

Fernando is making fruit teas and infusions.

@ImDoneOnceAndForAll I'm quite liking it, the first episode isn't that good IMHO but I think that's quite common with new series.

Now to breakfast. I think I will put Leo to work so lets have some eggs, boiled, poached, convent, coddled, scrambled and fried.

Florence is making a sourdough for toast, you can't have eggs without toast can you? Fernando for some reason thinks tomato soup should go with the eggs.

Well CT scan this morning IRL so I think we need something simple so I'll put out some hams, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, cereals and fruit.

Florence is making baguettes and Fernando has a lush coffee liqueur.

Leo has gone for a visit to the petting zoo.

I had a 40 minute MRI the other day and it was bareable but thankful when it was over

Thank you @ImDoneOnceAndForAll I have biscuits ready for the staff.

An MRI might be in the offing because they couldn't do the endoscopy properly.

I think the CT went well, I kept my eyes closed for it.

@ScottBakula I buy Foxes biscuits. When I was a small child we had a relative who worked for them and when we visited their house there was always a huge bag of broken biscuits.

I got home to a letter telling me my diabetic eye test is due. They are going to run out of places to prod, poke and inject.

Now to breakfast.

There is a horrendous storm / hurricane heading for Jamaica so let's think about the people there while we have a Jamaican breakfast.

We have to start with saltfish and akee, roast breadfruit, green banana porridge and banana fritters.

Florence is making dumplings, fried and boiled.

Fernando is of course serving rum,

Leo things the saltfish could be improved with a side helping of scrambled eggs.

The Hurricane is suppose to hit Jamaica later on and it suppose to be really bad

Just really hope it gets downgraded but sadly, it doesnt look that way

Apparently the fact it is moving slowly means there will be more damage, I just hope everyone can be evacuated before it hits.

Florence is making croissants for anyone who doesn't fancy fish and rice for breakfast. Fernando is sticking with the rum.
