Any cheese scones left? 3.5 year old has devided to havw a lie in on my day off for once! (But was up 3 times in the night, so...)

We are heading to Iraq this morning <IRL the taxi driver in the cab I used yesterday was from Iraq and we were discussing food / recipes>

So a couple of flat breads, Khubz and Samoon. Eggs, cucmber, tomatoes, biglia, kleja, labneh and olives.

Florence is making date pastries and of Fernando is making cocktails, @NoTeaNoShade how about a pina colada? I know it's a bit old fashioned but there is nothing wrong with that.

I'll take all of the above please (love a bit of labneh) and will happily settle down in a beanbag with my pina colada. That said after a couple I may not be able to get up very easily 😀

Good morning all. My family are back from holiday and they all have jet lag, especially DS who woke me up with the munchies. He also ‘doesn’t know’ why there’s a smell of weed (I think he must have been smoking in the garden underneath my bedroom window. 🙄 Just a coffee for me please, and a date pastry if you twist my arm.

I also have a late night youngster who’s just nipped out to the all night shop. Little does he know about the date pasties and cocktails on offer here.

My cat is having a night off, so it’s just me this evening. Would anyone like a hand with anything while I wait?

Good morning! I woke at 3.30 today, feeling fine. I'll be wrecked by 9am. Date pastries sound good. I scoffed some tea and toast before I came in.

Does anyone fancy breakfast from Laos?

Sticky rice, obviously, will be on the side of every dish but there are steamed veg, chili dips, sticky rice rolled and dipped in egg then fried, youtiao and baguettes spread with condensed milk.

Florence is making 'Chinese doughnuts' and Fernando has some rice whisky (Lao Lao) to experiment with.

There is green and black tea obviously and coffee.

Sticky rice dipped in egg please. And maybe a donut or two.
