My 2yr old is terrified of Bookaboo on CITV he saw a few minutes of it yesterday and was so upset he talked about it all afternoon and wouldn't go to sleep 7 hours later!

Has anyone else experienced this with the same show or anything else?

I have been online and checked it out and I just can't understand what he finds so horrible.

I am being serious when I say that my 2yr old DD starts weeping when Postman Pat starts and asks me to turn it off. Proper tears and everything.

Between the ages of about 2 and 5, my dc have variously been frightened of Thomas the Tank Engine, Numberjacks and Lazytown. And those are only the ones I remember!

Don't worry. A tv prog is not a crucial part of his life. It's not a fear that needs to be addressed. No need to let him watch it again for several months.

Oh thank god he is normal!! haha.

He has said he didn't like pipin before but says thats because he is naughty because he always runs away, arr!

we did talk about that and got over it but theres no talking about this other one ive told him its gone and not to worry now and just keep repeating that whenever he talks about it.

bless them they are so lovely and innocent.

Gosh, I make Bookaboo and we're in the middle of filming a new series. I haven't heard of Bookaboo scaring anyone before but if your little one ever reveals what it was, please let me know ([email protected] or at bookaboo.co.uk). The show is aimed at 3-6 year olds which is quite a broad age range so perhaps as previous advice, he might find it more comfortable to watch in several months time. I hope so as I don't like to think anyone being worried by the show. It aims to use TV postively, to get children (and parents) excited by picture books. Hope he's happier today, Lucy :-)
