Should the Doctor's assistant be asking him" when was the last time he had sex" at tea time??

I'm in no way prudish and certainbly don't want to diss DW, however I have just read this here and whilst a bit of a snog is fine with me at tea time, I really don't see why Amy has to ask the Doctor when the last time he had sex was and that she really doesn't mind a one-night-stand with him.
It's supposed to be a family tea time show and whilst DS and DD were scared witless last week in the angel episode, I thought that hiding behind the sofa was all part and parcel of DW! Sex however, isn't necessary at tea time when we're all sitting down to eat our saturday night tv dinner.
I think that if Graeme Norton (in the next Dorothy prgramme) asked Andrew Lloyd webber when was the last time he had sex, there would be an outcry!

Oh for gods sake

Any child old enough to get the innuendo will have seen MUCH worse on other programs and films. I mean Shrek is filled with smut and innuendo if you dig deep enough

Why put it on later so that younger viewers miss out? My 7 yr old nephew didnt understand the innuendo. His 11 yr old sister did but sees far worse when watching Eastenders or Holby city with her mum

This thread made it to the daily mail today - they quoted octopusinabox' quote about having watched it on tape.

That article made me LOL! Scantily clad vampires? The last time I saw the trailer, they were virually dressed like characters from a Jane Austen adaptation! What is wrong with that paper??!! I keep accidentally clicking onto it through links and kicking myself!

Nope - didn't name you!

Mmm, octopusinabox, but there seems to be some definite ongoing plot arc about Something not wanting her to get married and this incident all being part of that. So the long-term message seems likely to turn out to be "if you are about to get married and are tempted to have a one night stand with someone else, it is probably the influence of a malign alien influence and you Should Not Do It".

Thought it was highly inappropriate. Dr Who is a traditional, tea time family programme. My father, brother and nephew (8) all sit down and watch it together and that was one of it's charms. It was very mis-judged.
