If you found yourself on Mastermind, what would be your specialist subject?

Me - no idea really. Something banal. Unlike DH, who knows a lot about one or two subjects, I know a bit about a lot of subjects. I wonder if that's a female thing, and why there aren't that many female contenders?

But anyway, just for fun, your subject? You can't have Coronation St, it's mine!

was just thinking today i would do v well on mastermind with : Balamory - Every Fecking Episode That Ever made it to DVD. Particularly after being snowed in with an ill autistic DS for 2 weeks ( i was looking for silver linings!)

Although i would like it to be the West Wing

MistleSnail · 06/01/2010 20:40

A convo yesterday in my house

DS1's friend "I'm going to a gallery in London"
Me "Oooh, which one?"
Friend "Dulwich"
Me "Wow - don't forget to stop off at the cemetery there it is FAB! Very high Victorian Gothic etc."
Friend "Um, ok"

Scrabbers · 06/01/2010 20:43

Lord of the Rings
Or
Ben10

tethersend · 06/01/2010 20:45

But the cemetery is amazing- why wouldn't you recommend it?

Although Stoke Newington is my personal favourite

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 06/01/2010 20:48

after todays cruel evil brain stuffing requirement for essay the topic would be the skinner/chomsky arguement.

Normally:

completely random information that is pretty much useless and irrelevent to about 99% of the population 99% of the time.

tethersend · 06/01/2010 20:50

I'm in the 1% I think...

ilovepiccolina · 06/01/2010 20:52

Going along the 'I've seen all the episodes' line, mine would have to be Tracey Beaker. I'm sure there is an episode on at every time of the day and night somewhere, on one channel or other. And my DCs watch most of them [grrr]

Anne Frank, have read everything I could on her since I was given the book at age 11.

DGD has inherited my intrest.

toddlerama · 06/01/2010 21:17

The Aristocats.

DollyPS · 06/01/2010 21:22

Dr Who 1970-to the present day all the lads fault as he is obsessed and I am is listener I like this obsession though.

TimothyTigerTuppennyTail · 06/01/2010 21:22

Pink Floyd

or Thomas the Tank Engine

I'd probably humiliate myself by being better at Thomas.

DollyPS · 06/01/2010 21:23

his

SleepingLion · 06/01/2010 21:31

Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Friends. Sigh. Dead intellectual, me.

Not 'dead' in a 'should be in a Victorian cemetery' way, though.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 07/01/2010 01:14

just been reminded of another specilism. the 1001 excuses of ds to be up in the middle of the night and or not go back to sleep. or possibles the 1001 one ways in which ds has cause severe sleep deprivation in chaos.

BikeRunSnowflake · 07/01/2010 08:35

Pushchairs, pram and travel systems - 2007-10
or maybe, The Works of Lewis Carroll.

I would hate to get to the second round and have to think of something else!

thesteelfairy · 07/01/2010 10:46

Twilight books and movies.
Jilly Cooper novels
Clarins products
Medicines and dosage for various ailments (was a medical secretary and somehow just picked it up)
High Functioning Autism

Anyone who knows me in real life will know who I am from this!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2010 13:37

eastenders and prob ww pints

wukter · 07/01/2010 13:45

The bleedin' obvious - like Sybil Fawlty.
I like the idea of Victorian High Gothic - any good introductory books that you could recommend?

LetThereBeRock · 07/01/2010 14:03

Forensic Toxicology
Star Wars
Jack The Ripper
World Cinema

thaliablogs · 07/01/2010 14:20

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Antonia Forest, life and works
Diana Wynne Jones, life and works

Might stretch to Barbara McClintock, life and works, the Mitfords (focus on Jessica though), the works of Stephanie Plowman, the Russian royal family 1760-1845 as seen through the eyes of Mara Kay

NOt to mention the bloody Teletubbies.

SnowMuchToBits · 07/01/2010 14:24

My own family tree - I know my way around it pretty well, after researching it for the last couple of years...

SnowMuchToBits · 07/01/2010 14:26

Ds (aged 9) would probably choose "lifeboats of the RNLI" or "cricket fielding positions"

FlumpetMum · 07/01/2010 14:39

Star Wars. All 6 films!
