Anyone else watching this? Twin sisters of 15, one with a baby and the other pregnant. Parents have already had to give up their bedroom for the boyfriend and baby, and now there's another one coming.

OP posts:

So is it just me or is the real message of this programme 'if one of your daughters get pregnant, keep an even closer eye on your other daughter' i cant believe it was another family with pregnant sisters

Good on Kacey for giving bf feed a go and being filmed doing it though, i def couldnt have been filmed in the early days when i still needed a pillow

It's a shame Rebecca wasn't told it's still possible to ride if she's sensible and the horse is a safe oldish horse. That's what my (horsey) midwife told my friend who rides anyway.

I'm glad Monique's ex changed his mind. Shame he couldn't be that supportive during the pregnancy though. It does make me wonder if he'll be in it for the long haul or if the novelty will wear off soon.

Does anyone know what that Fisher Price swing is called?

LittleWhiteWolf · 20/08/2009 19:11

Colditz, those boys willingly had sex with those girls which IMO means they have to take the responsibility for any babies that are created in the process. Anyone knows a consequence of sex is pregnancy so to say they resent the impending fatherhood is a bit rich. Dont want kids, dont have sex. Its that simple.

Good for the young man with Charlotte in the first ep...Lewis? They were my favourite couple for the way they created a sweet little family. They are the true success story out of every teen we've seen so far.

Seen the preview for the last ep... was a bit when the girl said she was 14 when they started TRYING to get pg. And her bf looks a bit dodgy I think!

ErikaMaye · 21/08/2009 01:11

Can't remember which episode it was, or the names, but there was one a few weeks ago where the young woman's mum was TOTALLY taking over every single aspect of it. It made me so annoyed. I was watching it with my mum, and we were both so shocked... I mean, these young women are only a few years younger than me (I've just turned 18) and mum and I have had serious talks about how much she's going to be allowed to do when my little one arrives. She's really worried she'll interfere too much But I can't imagine her litterally taking over... I mean, its my son. Same as it was/is this young woman's child. Ugh. I think there was a comment made about her not being mature enough to handle it or knowing what to expect - Firstly, how is she going to mature if you don't give her the chance? And secondly, show me any first time parent that knows EXACTLY what to expect.

Deemented · 24/08/2009 20:32

OMG - It's only just started, and she's already put the fecking cat in a babygro and a hat... god help the baby...

princessmel · 24/08/2009 20:37

OMG

I can hardly type

She's smoking roll ups aswell.

The dad saying 'she's going to have a career afterwoods'....

Started trying for a baby at 14...

princessmel · 24/08/2009 20:39

At least they are mentioning the smoking..

Since she was 8

Deemented · 24/08/2009 20:39

And that comment about having a stillborn baby...

Can i slap her now, please?

princessmel · 24/08/2009 20:42

Arrrrgh

It's not a race to see who can get pregnant first...

I need to turn this off.

Katz · 24/08/2009 20:44

this is the worst of all the programmes.

Wonderstuff · 24/08/2009 20:45

Zena wants to be a ft mum and housewife! What ambition

princessmel · 24/08/2009 20:50

Her bump is TINY and she is almost due.

Omg at the comment from Zena's mum about 'trying again so you can have a little girl'

LittleMissBliss · 24/08/2009 20:51

This is so sad. definitely the worst of the series.

Deemented · 24/08/2009 20:55

It's very very sad. You can see the cycle of desperation spiralling out of control, can't you?

princessmel · 24/08/2009 20:55

I agree

violethill · 24/08/2009 21:18

Totally agree Deemented - it's awful to see it unfolding before your eyes.

The utter lack of aspiration, the pathetic longing to have a baby but having no idea how to look after it even before the birth - sitting out in that greenhouse in the garden, mother-to-be and granny-to-be smoking .... did they think that smoking outside the house somehow made it better even though she was about 8 months pg.... oh and the things she seemed to be looking forward to most, were making up formula feeds and dressing the baby up.

truly awful.

bratley · 24/08/2009 21:31

I hate watching that program, it makes me so sad but I feel compelled to watch!
Tonight I almost cried when the mother said 'oh well, she'll just have to try again for a girl!', what a truely awful thing to say.

I totally agree Deemented, you can just see the cycle repeating, maybe the fact she had a boy is a good thing, break the cycle of girls needing to have babies to feel worthwhile and loved.

violethill · 24/08/2009 21:38

unless he grows up to get a girl pregnant and then fucks off to get his head together

Wonderstuff · 24/08/2009 22:20

I think when the boy said that the birth was the 'thing I was most looking forward to' was just so tragic.

violethill · 24/08/2009 22:26

How true wonderstuff... as if it all ends with the birth, Not like there's another 18 years of bringing that child up...

bratley · 25/08/2009 08:01

They just live in 'lets pretend world' don't they?
Wonder where his parents are and what they think about the 2 of them having a baby?

The comment her parents made made me
'We never let them have sex in the house, but then they just had secret places they'd go and do it, like down the beach'
So secret that they knew it was happening? And how did they find that out?

EldonAve · 25/08/2009 08:11

I missed the beginning but it was all pretty depressing
The only good bit was that there was plenty of council housing to go round - the boyfriend had his own place, her sister and baby also had a place

No mention of anyone working. Did her parents work?

bratley · 25/08/2009 08:13

Don't remember them saying they did.

nappyaddict · 01/09/2009 00:58

It annoyed me that they kept mentioning that it was a council flat or house though. I'm not sure if it really has that much relevance.

I was a bit at the smoking but I don't know if smoking 10 a day is better or worse than taking ADHD medication.

I think her parents had a point. They couldn't handcuff her to them 24/7 so how would you stop this happening if it was your DD who wanted a baby at 14?

To be fair to Chris he does want to work it's the doctor that's saying he shouldn't.

I don't think there's anything wrong with her wanting to be a FT mum and house wife plenty of mums on here do exactly that. She did say she wants to get a career after (presumably when the baby's old enough to go to school or something)

Can they find Down's Syndrome on the 20 week scan, I didn't think they could. Also the mum said she didn't want a little Chris running around cos he was too hyper. I don't know much about people with ADHD but aren't they usually hyper too?

I can't believe Chris split up with her 2 weeks before the birth and not sure if it was fair of Zena to say he couldn't be at the birth. Not sure what I'd do in that siutation.
