Soz to interrupt, but HAD to comment on the Spencer from Balamory comments - His name is Rod and he was a Christian youth worker who used to tour the country with his other American friends before he "found" Balamory . I knew him about 11 years ago and he's such a totally nice bloke I was really chuffed my kids could "get to know him" via Balamory (he is soooo like Spencer!!).

My sad little "claim to fame" - but at least the kids think it's cool!!

interesting you say that 3mummy. i've always got a good 'vibe' off spencer. he seems quite genuine.

i think the key to a good kid's presenter is the apparent genuiness (sp?) of the presenter. you can tell some presenters really don't want to be there but some really enjoy it.

hmmm thinking Sue(cbeebies) definitely doesn't want to be there. It's like she's embarrassed. I think shamelessness is a good trait to have!

Sarah-Jane is a bit of a diva but she's got a wiggle and a twinkle in her eye. Shame she looks like Zoe Wannamaker, though.

There is a dearth of talent on little kids tv. T4 does much better.
