@GobbolinoAndSootica James A murdered Ross in plain sight though…

ScaredButUnavoidable · 24/10/2026 08:45

Sorry to ask a silly question, but with so many players
left and only two episodes left how does it get whittled down to one winner?

Do they just have lots of banishments in the final episodes?

saveforthat · 24/10/2026 08:47

OsfameronTanamoril · 24/10/2026 07:22

I didn't know Joanne is Irish, but everybody is something! Sharon's Scottish. Romesh is British Sri Lankan. Maya is mixed race. Michael Sheen is Welsh. Amol was British Indian.

If we can't criticise anyone because of hidden prejudice, there's literally no one we can criticise.

What did you think her accent was?

At the final round table, they have a normal banishment and then they all vote on if they want to keep going or not. If they decide to end the game and there is a traitor left then the traitor/s win.
if they decide not to end the game they keep banishing and voting until they decide to end. The people banished don’t say if they are traitors or not.

They'll get down to "endgame" where there's several of them and they vote to banish again or end game. It ends either when all vote to end game or there are only two people left. They'll also stop revealing their true status when they go.

A traitor win is almost inevitable at this point so I'm not feeling much tension, tbh. I suppose it's just a question of whether traitors will turn on each other. Wouldn't blame Maya and Kenny if they kick James.

Whereas what I see is an (unconscious?) bias in posters who are vehement in their dislike of an Irish woman who is confident and doesn’t play nice.

I used to like her as a comedian but she comes across as a bully in this, particularly her behaviour towards Miranda - very much school bully vibes. I don't like her at all ow. It's nothing to do with her being Irish.

Purplesproutingradiator · 24/10/2026 09:11

I've never watched traitors before, but the faithful are being severely hampered by turning on anyone who pushes an idea that turns out to be wrong. Everyone is just focusing on personal survival now, keeping their heads down, which is making it a bit dull. Maybe it always goes this way?

I also agree it's weird that they focus only on individuals and not on groups.

And it really irritates me how much they apologise for voting - that's literally the whole game! Why do they need to apologise for guessing that someone was tapped on the shoulder?!

CaptainMyCaptain · 24/10/2026 09:13

HoraceCope · 24/10/2026 07:45

@GobbolinoAndSootica whyy doesnt James A deserve a win. it was one trial.. the rest of the time he has spoken pretty well at the round table. imo

I agree. He has not coped well in the Missions but he's pretty good at sowing doubt and discord in the informal chats and the RT. He comes across as a real Faithful.

Purplesproutingradiator · 24/10/2026 09:18

I also thought that murdering in plain sight would be a bigger part of the game. Sharon realised something about the perfume, but if she'd persevered with that line of thinking and realised it was sleeping potion then I think that could have blown it wide open, because those were the most ridiculous fake yawns I've ever seen.

Sneaking around stealing bits of shields was a damp squib.

Crocsarentslippers · 24/10/2026 09:22

mumofoneisonozempic · 23/10/2026 22:39

She's 100% a bully 😩

But i prefer her to Sharon, who is so dull for someone I love so much in Two Doors Down

That's a a bullying comment on it's own though!.

I actually popped into this thread as I was so uncomfortable with the way Sharon was treated / edited to look like she was treated in last night's episode.

I feel she was treated as a bit thick and 'low rent' by Michael and especially James B, who is coming accross as an unpleasant snob.

As a victim of bullying I know the self preservation of resignation and acceptance that Sharon displayed at the round table last night.

She's a talented actress in her own right but the rest are treating her like a nobody.

ForAmberPoster · 24/10/2026 09:28

WhereverIlaymycatthatsmyhome · 23/10/2026 20:53

Yeah. James B was blamed publicly by Carrie Fishers family for her death because he was taking drugs with her the night before she died…

I read her autobiography Postcards from the Edge years ago. Carrie Fisher took many and varied drugs from a very young age, as many do in Hollywood so it’s a bit of a reach blaming someone born around 20 years after her.

Sharon would look better if her reason for not agreeing with the 3 picked wasn't ‘because James doesn’t want to do it’.

Stowickthevast · 24/10/2026 09:31

The Faithfuls have been voting in a herd all season until this episode. It's the first one that's been genuinely divisive though both people up are women who spoke out.

I think the early victories of Richard and Hannah didn't do them any favours as now they think the traitors will be obvious.

I like a Faithful win so am finding it rather annoying how rubbish they are, but can't see them slipping up now. It may be the first UK one that we end with 3 traitors at this rate.

Stowickthevast · 24/10/2026 09:33

@Crocsarentslippers I felt the same. Sharon was obviously being patronised by the men, particularly James and Michael. I felt very sorry for her.

JudgeJ · 24/10/2026 09:42

mumofoneisonozempic · 23/10/2026 23:40

What a let down eh

Last year was so good

Totally agree, this year I've gone into Apprentice mode, before I stopped watching any of it, I don't watch the tasks, just listen to the chat and the round table. It's really poor compared with last year.

This. The hammy acting when they vote to banish someone is getting on my nerves especially from Bash. It's a game they all want to win so why all the fake apologies? I'm losing interest in this lot of contestants tbh. They've got rid of the most entertaining ones and most of the rest are keeping under radar. Not keen on Joanne but at least she has a spark about her.

HoraceCope · 24/10/2026 09:43

that is the problem i think the celebrities, they want to be friends over anything
and it was very telling that Bash said "who are we voting"
i mean, why is it a group enterprise?

Fortuity · 24/10/2026 09:47

C8H10N4O2 · 23/10/2026 10:15

Exactly. He signed up and took the money and it isn't even as if its the first series - this lot had a much clearer idea of the contract. Most people simply refusing to do the job they are being paid for would lose pay or other penalty.

Blaming the only woman traitor on some platforms is just absurd.

If all three and slowly moved around the room to cover each other they would have had a decent chance. James' refusal to participate through the first quiet spot into total confusion and made it very difficult for the other two to complete the task.

It's incredibly easy to work out the best strategy several hours later. When the task is sprung on you with no notice, how easy is it in reality?

Fortuity · 24/10/2026 09:50

MerryAquaKoala · 23/10/2026 10:44

James A, Romesh and others are showing us the very worst self indulgent trait of being an overpaid minimally talented self absorbed celebrity. Get over yourselves and get on with it FGS, it's pathetic. And meanwhile they don't seem to give a damn about raising money for their charities. As long as they get paid for turning up eh.

Face it, they're going to earn the money whatever they do. The producers don't want to end on a damp squib where the prize money on offer is relatively trivial. Every time they foul up on a task, the producers just raise what they can win on subsequent tasks.

As for claiming that they are overpaid - ever heard of market forces? If people didn't enjoy what these people do, they wouldn't come to see them when they're on tour, and they wouldn't keep getting booked for prime time TV gigs. Perhaps the fact that you don't like them doesn't actually mean that they are untalented?

Recklessismymiddlename · 24/10/2026 09:52

I still think the producers have messed up this series with REG, not redoing the initial round table, picking of James A as a traitor, Jerry and Hannah as the only 2 faithfuls up for murder…

FalconHonour33 · 24/10/2026 09:53

That editing of the round table to end on the cliffhanger was clever. I didn't see it coming. I was expecting to end on the murder shortlist like they always do.

So when do they fit the murder into Episode 9, do we think?

Yestheysawmecoming · 24/10/2026 09:55

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 23/10/2026 23:49

I do think they may know who the traitors are and are keeping quiet in the hopes they make it to the final

Surely if this were the case, someone - anyone bar Ross! - would be nominating them as likely traitors on Uncloaked though? Think Ross is the only one who’s got any of them.

Crocsarentslippers · 24/10/2026 09:22

CaptainMyCaptain · 23/10/2026 14:18

He has behaved in an unexpected and often ineffective way, fair enough. Other players then respond to that. Nothing is spoiled, I don't understand the anger.

Exactly. People challenged me when I queried all the hatred around James A simply for his approach to a difficult task, and this part of the thread illustrates it.

Fortuity · 24/10/2026 10:08

JaneJeffer · 23/10/2026 20:10

No you don’t Maya stop lying

You do know it's the traitors' job to lie, don't you?

Mimosaandonwards · 24/10/2026 10:11

This series really is the traitors' game to lose. Choosing all three of them as the most trusted shows how well they are staying under the radar of the faithfuls suspicions.
